  1. I'm not really sure why guys like Nolan Smith, Kenneth Faried, and Shelvin Mack would be considered UK villains, plus I highly doubt it would ever happen. It would be fun though.
  2. It's about as ridiculous as the head coach of a high school football team bolting from his post-game huddle after a loss halfway across the field to chastise the opponent's fans for a cheer. -Cincy217
  3. Congress=House of Representatives and Senate
  4. Read Last of the Breed my freshmen year in high school and loved it. That and Count of Monte Cristo are probably my favorite books that I've been required to read.
  5. That's a good point. Still, the fact that Knight can run around making slanderous statements and not even have to admit they were entirely unsubstantiated is ridiculous.
  6. Looking forward not only to the game tonight and for the Reds to get back on the winning track, but to follow them on here with you all for the remaining 146 games of the season.

  9. So you think he's a punk because he goes to UK?
  10. If the stuff with Ole Miss hadn't happened the WVU game would have been a non-issue to you. You formed an opinion of the guy then and there and you aren't budging on it.
  11. Nope he talked trash with an Ole Miss player in a game and the guy couldn't handle it so he went after him. He's a punk and nothing can ever change that.
  12. Is the HT721 on the CBS website commenting on the article the same HT721 that is on here? It sure sounds like him.
  13. If you divide the 200 minutes among 8 players, it's 25 minutes/game for each, so it's not like there isn't enough playing time to spread around to these guys. Obviously some will get more than others, but I don't think playing time will be a big deal. The only time I could see it becoming an issue is Liggins, Miller, and Lamb having to adjust to having their roles reduced a bit simply because there will be more help for them. They've been used to playing essentially the whole game and in a 6 man rotation, so it may take some time for them to adjust to playing on a deeper team. They all seem like team-oriented guys though, and I really don't think it will affect their production, team chemistry, etc.
  14. That's what I think as well. It's hard to say whether Lamb or Liggins will start because they've both started at this position at different times this year. If Knight does return, I would assume he would start with Liggins and Lamb off the bench, but maybe Teague would come off the bench? It's just hard for me to see two guys who had prominent roles on a Final Four team not starting the next year. I understand the situation, but I'm still not sure how I feel about that. I really don't think Wiltjer will start over Miller or Gilchrist. Even though he is a big guy, my guess would be they would go smaller with Miller playing the 4. He's played some 4 this year and has seemed to be comfortable in that position.
  15. Interesting. I was not aware of that. Thanks.
  16. :thumb: I absolutely love this year's team, but it's not like last year's team was a bunch of selfish guys going out and playing street ball. They played well together and played good defense too. I'm not downplaying the accomplishments of the guys on this team at all, especially because they've had a really tough route to the Final Four, but the main difference (other than style of play, 3pt shooting, etc.) is that the 2010 version played a bad game on the wrong day.
  17. I'd be happy to take you up on that offer, but it might have to wait about 2 years. Who am I kidding that hasn't exactly stopped me before!
  18. That's fair and I definitely agree that UK has plenty of whackos pulling for them. When you do provide analysis, I almost always agree with it. I think the exposure of the 18% is when you rub UK fans the wrong way because it may seem like it is an attack on the entire fan base, not just the unreasonable ones. What you say about them is true IMO, but I've always felt like it seems like a shot at all UK fans. I'd have to see that last part for myself to believe it.
  19. You can make witty, snide comments all you want, but a vast majority of your posts suggest that you view the UK fan base as a congregation of ignorant hillbillies that are to be looked down upon, and virtually anyone who supports the basketball team is lumped into this category. I wasn't referring to your stance in this thread because I actually agree with your sentiments about a good deal of UK fans having an unsubstantiated dislike for Duke. I probably should have made the comment in a thread other than this one. My apologies.
  20. I'm sure Jim would disagree that you know what it feels like because only UK fans (and every single one of them) are dumb enough to bring out such feelings.
