  1. http://www.ncaa.com/menshighlights/?c=turner_mmod_mens_recaps&p=513722&s=5081584&i=926622 Video of the celebration. I know it was said on here that the freshmen don't like each other very much, but I'm not seeing that in this video.
  2. RP hates UK. Does that put him in this category? Or is it reserved for UK fans who "hate" other programs, coaches, etc.?
  3. I don't think the jubilation is caused by the fact that no one ever saw this coming. The "we shocked the world" threads are quite overblown, but I think it stems from the fact that UK hadn't exceeded expectations in the tournament in quite some time. It has usually been the opposite, with UK being a favorite only to disappoint. When was the last time UK won a close game in the tournament, especially as the underdog? Throw in the fact that it was against the number one overall seed on a last second shot, as well as how many had given up on this team and been looking ahead to next year, and I can definitely understand it.
  4. Do you think he'd be able to contribute right away anything at all, or would it be a year or two before he would get solid PT and any production?
  5. Do you put Liggins on Marshall to disrupt the flow of the offense or do you put him on Barnes who has been a stud recently? Who guards Barnes if Liggins is on Marshall? Miller's the only one who is his size, but he's not exactly a defensive stopper.
  6. A last second win over the number one overall seed in the tournament isn't exciting and worthy of a little bit of celebration? I'm seeing fans happy because this team has exceeded expectations and has a very good chance to end the Final Four drought, which no one would have thought possible after the departure of so many key players from last season. I only see one person making ridiculous comparisons with some of the biggest upsets of all time, so I'm not exactly sure where that came from. I just don't understand how the reaction from UK fans has been that excessive after such an emotional, high-intensity, tight game ended in such dramatic fashion.
  7. I seem to remember a lot of Lamb and Knight. Not much Liggins. Been a while though so I could be way off.

  9. Oh for sure. I just think that this is one of his better games as a Cat and he is keeping them in it. And then of course he turns it over as I type this.
  10. :idunno: 10 points 6 rebounds on 4-7 shooting. 3 blocks. Pathetic.
  11. To say that this game was decided by a margin of 8 fouls is ridiculous. The thing that surprised me was the fact that with 12 seconds left down two, they A) did not call a time-out, and I don't care if it's Coach Cal or Big Bird from Sesame Street's philosophy, B) with that much time, they look for a buzzer beater three pointer on the road. Why they did not drive, try to dish, and get another shot in is beyond me.
  12. Why? Because he's a CovCath fan? That's a pretty good reason to hate Dixie:lol:
  13. So looks like I'll be stuck in Lexington Thursday night instead of heading home after my last final.
  14. Ok thanks I just wasn't sure if their games were suited to be on the floor at the same time or if Lacey might be the better fit with Glichrist already signed. Sounds like a great talent that no one would want to miss out on though.
  15. GT, could Daniels and Gilchrist coexist on the court, or would one be looking at playing behind the other and potentially Miller, Liggins as well?
  16. There aren't even enough Catholic schools in the state with football to have a Catholic state championship.
  17. CovCath is the best without question, but who would get 2nd place? I would give it to Holy Cross. They have a lot of spirit, and they get pretty rowdy
  18. Will Jones play another player with Henson's size and athleticism though? I don't know if he will or not, but I feel like most 6'10" guys he could just shoot over or go around.
  19. 1. Duke 2. Clemson 3. Tennessee 4. Memphis 5. Ohio State
  20. My feeling on the whole matter is not really why would Marvin Lewis not be fired, but why would he want to stay? As a defensive coordinator, he can do what he does best -- focus on ripping apart offenses. As the Cincinnati Bengals coach, what can he even do? He can't hire the coaches he wants, he can't coach the players he wants. I think his best move would be to pack his things and take a job as a defensive coordinator somewhere solid.
  21. The announcers said there was quite a bit of talking between him and #55, so maybe that had something to do with it. Did he do it agains ESTU and Portland? I haven't really paid attention to it, but that would get under my skin too.
