On Moore's 53 yard run, Dixie caught CovCath's defense in the middle of a switch. CovCath had been late a couple of times earlier.

I agree, I did not think Johnson was a factor until after Lonneman left the game.

Very good game by two very good teams. CovCath I believe got within the 10 yard line twice and did not score. The interception by Dixie midway thur the fourth turn the game around. CovCath had done a good job of containing Moore and Owens until after the interception. CovCath defense started playing not to lose and Dixie was playing to win. The lose of Lonnman(sp) on the o-line really hurt the CovCath offense.

I should have said 4A thur 6A schools. But those are very good numbers for Highlands, but how many kids are playing both ways. CovCath has 4 or 5 kids playing both sides of the ball and that is not every series. CovCath is playing around 20-22 kids with first team offense and defense.

For the larger schools I would expected to see 40-50 kids And just from want I have seen, only around half the kids return for their Soph. year. And the three teams CovCath has played, all three teams played only about 15 kids.

Another good performance by the defense. The number one's have not given up a score since the first quarter of the Campbell Co. game. The offense found the running game tonight, but still to many drop passes. Conner had 28 kids and 2 coaches on the sidelines, future does not look good with so few kids.

CovCath did not look good tonight, but these kids even when playing poorly know how to win. This is the second 6A team CovCath has played with low numbers, I counted 34 kids for Cooper, and Dixie I saw on a other post had 25. Want does that say for the future of these teams and NKY 6A?

How many kids does Conner play both ways? If Dixie is only playing 15 kids on a very hot night that could be a factor.

CovCath vs NewCath was scheduling issue.

Never understood the preseason hype about Dixie. A new offense and defense of line. To many kids going both ways. Questionable coaching staff. They have one player who fit the mold of a D1 player, but had good but not great numbers as QB.

Should any kid who is not going to class or making the grades, really be playing any sports?

Great final 9 minutes of the 3 qrt. for CovCath scoring 28. If you go back in look before the season, most believed that the DB were CovCath's weakness on defense. At times you may have 3 soph.'s back there, so they are going to make mistakes. As for Dixie, same old,same old. Pike will not play QB in the SEC.

CovCath's defense bent but did not break. Campbell had it 1st and goal twice in the first half but CovCath defense held. On offense the CovCath QB Wagner had a very good game, throwing for 3 scores. He had 3 or 4 receivers with more than 3 catches. CovCath did not run the ball very well, except for a 37 yard TD run (#36). Campbell Co is big, #32 and #33 are very good players, but they hardly left the field, which cost them late in the game. TOG was there so hopefully he can give a better game summary. All in all good win for the Colonels.

I was thinking the same thing about tickets prices. $10 (presale)or $12(gate) to see a game at Dixie or any other high school site. Unless they are going to play the game at Nippert or play a team that they would not normally play, keep the tickets prices at $6.
