Ryle freshman won maybe 4 -1 in scores.

Rule 13

I watched some of the second half on the web and it was all CCH.

And CCH pulling away in the second half is bad news for the Raiders.

Wow...

Sounds like a good scrimage

Elliott is a great player but it takes 11.

Very true.

28-28 with ones and Cov Cath dominated the JV action. Both teams will have good seasons.

Whomever posted the final score got it wrong. The final score was CovCath 51- Ryle 28

The scrimmage was played as a real regular season game for 3 quarters with the JV playing during half time and the fourth quarter being played by subs from both teams.

So honestly the final score was CovCath 28 Ryle 21 with a game saving tackle by Brady Reese on a 96 yard kick off return by Travis Elliott as Brady out ran Travis to tackle him to end the 3rd quarter on the 4 yard line!

Scoring summary of the game:

7-0 Ryle 3:57 1st quarter

81 yard TD pass from Nathan to Ryan

Natham PAT Good

7-7 CovCath 1:09 1st quater

Gabe Gray 27 yard TD run

Talkers PAT Good

14-7 Ryle 11:19 2nd Quarter

Travis Elliott 4 yard TD run

Garrett PAT Good

14-14 6:48 2nd Quarter

Blake Bir 1 yard TD run

Talkers PAT Good

End of the 1st Half 14-14

At this point the CovCath JV played against the Ryle JV and it was no contest as CovCath completely dominated Ryle with Summe and Dressman scoring TD's almost at will.

Back to the Varsity contest played under real game conditions

21-14 Ryle 9:07 3rd quarter

Travis Elliott 8 yard TD run

Garrett PAT Good

21-21 2:30 3rd quarter

Gabe Gray 4 yard TD run

Talkers PAT Good

28-21 CovCath 4.8 seconds left in the 3rd quarter

Gabe Gray 6 yard TD run

Talkers PAT Good

The Varsity game played under regular season rules ended after three quarters with CovCath defeating Ryle by a score of CovCath 28 Ryle 21

28-28 just seconds into the 4th quarter

Tanner 4 yard TD run

Miozek PAT Good

From them on it was CovCath subs in a rout.....

35-28 CovCath 10:31 4th quarter

Christian Howard 60 yard TD run

Talkers PAT Good

42-28 CovCath 6:10 4th quarter

Sam Dressman 15 yard TD pass to Evan Braun

McDowell PAT Good

49-28 CovCath 5:15 4th quarter

Matt Summe 1 yard TD run

Dressman PAT Good

51-28 CovCath Safety 4:26 4th quarter

Ross Meeks Safety

28-28 with ones and Cov Cath dominated the JV action. Both teams will have good seasons.

Note the scoring summary of the game.......

ryle freshman won maybe 4 -1 in scores

Was told the CovCath #1 ones were not scored upon but was only told that as both the Varsity and Frosh games were played at the same time!

Cov Cath gets a huge dose of Elliott, who they could not stop, if this is a real game.To their credit, the Ryle staff threw more passes than normal and in situations where it would not make sense in the regular season. One of Cov's linebackers got detonated by Elliott - and Travis had some great runs.Lots of improvement will happen for both teams. Cov Cath is better than last year. Ryle is about the same and that is good.

Actually on the play you mentioned, the young man you spoke about was hurt prior to the snap and the men in stripes should have seen that and stopped the play prior to it being run.

Indeed Elliott is a stud......but so was Shaun Alexander and he never got Boone to the promised land.

As was mentioned elsewhere in the thread you need 11 to win!

I thought it was smart by Coach Warner to do what he did tonight!

Although with Elliott being the stud he is to Ryle playing him so much on the "D" side of the ball just night kill them come later in the year! He (Elliott) was on the turf most of the night!
