Theoldguy
The CovCath "Seniors in Training" defeated a valiant Cooper Jaguars Freshmen team by a score of 33-6 Thursday evening at Cooper. Quite frankly, I thought the game would never be played as my truck said 97 degrees as I pulled into the Cooper parking lot at 5pm but play they did. CovCath was led by the "Big Boys" up front who opened up holes and protected their QB on pass plays. The Big Boy's are as follows: #54 Bailey, #55 Ledonne, #57 Foretsch, #60 Sommerkamp and the biggest of the Big Boy's up front #72 Lonneman. On the CovCath "D" side of the ball I have got to show some love to #2 Pangallo, #51 Foote and #26 Quigley. A tip to the Coopers Frosh (sorry I didn't get a roster) #2, #35 and #7. Outstanding effort gentlemen. Scoring Summary of the game 6-0 CovCath 1st quarter 3:01 Adam Wagner 23 yard TD pass to McDowell Clark PAT no good 12-0 CovCath 1st quarter 1:40 Adam Wagner 18 yard TD run Adam Wagner PAT Pass no good 20-0 CovCath 2nd quarter 1:07 Alex Wagner 30 yard TD run Alex Wagner PAT run good 26-0 CovCath 3rd quarter 1:19 VonLehman 22 yard TD run PAT run attempt no good 33-0 CovCath 4th quarter 8:30 Alex Wagner 22 yard TD run Clark PAT good 33-6 CovCath 4th quarter 17 yard TD pass from #2 to #80 #22 PAT no good The CovCath "Seniors in Training" improve their record to 2-0 and next play Conner @ CovCath on Wednesday September 7th @ 6pm. C-BOY78
CovCath did not look good tonight, but these kids even when playing poorly know how to win. This is the second 6A team CovCath has played with low numbers, I counted 34 kids for Cooper, and Dixie I saw on a other post had 25. Want does that say for the future of these teams and NKY 6A? Clyde
TOG, aren't all grades other than 12th "seniors in training?"
