They had one of their best teams ever last year knocking off St. X in regular season. Obviously they lost a lot, but it's still a GCL team.

If the Colonels perform well, they have to be looked at as a legitimate contender for the 4A crown. Any time a KY team hangs with a GCL South opponent, that translates to a pretty solid KY football team. I'm extremely anxious to see how this game goes for the good guys.

This is a good team but nowhere near last year's Lancer team which had a D1 QBand two D1 receivers plus studs on defense. In other words, CCH has a nice chance of winning.

I thought I read somewhere that LaSalle lost almost every starter on O and this year's senior class is down. So there aren't a bunch of stud seniors to step into and fill the shoes of the starters that graduated. I realize it's a GCL team, but only sort of in my opinion. It's one of the smallest D-1 schools in Ohio and with the exception of some rare years, generally isn't in contention to beat the likes of X, Elder or Moe.

 

I think CovCath has a great chance of winning. Game's in PH, correct? If so, CovCath should probably be the favorite.

Lasalle is still going to be as good as any NKY football team. They have two defense players that have D1 Scholarships (UC, Miami of Ohio). I am sure that they will be a very good team and CovCath will have to play very good to win or make it competitive. A great game to measure yourself by. CovCath will be much better in a few weeks while the defense continues to grow.

LN , you are correct. Last year's team was an aberration by LS standards.
