SK is the top dog until someone in the 8th beats them. There may be some teams and some players not mentioned in the above threads out there flying under the radar as well.

Congrats to Iroquois and to E-town for an outstanding game. I was surprised to see 2 fouls called in the last 15 seconds. I wonder if the over and back call had anything to do with that. As it turned out, going into OT was probably the best thing. Great HS girls basketball game. 2 great coaching jobs by Al and Tim. I have also heard that this was the first championship OT game in the history of the girls state tournament. Bowling Green and WKU do a really nice job hosting the tournament. It will be there for at least the next 2 years.

SK does foul a lot but it usually is not called. They are very aggressive and when the refs blow the whistle like they did in this game, it hurts them. Congrats on a great season.

Casey has had a nice run but they will have to bring their A+ game tomorrow morning. Iroquois will put on some serious pressure and will show some quickness that not too many teams have. Good luck. I hope you can pull it off.

The boys regional tournament is the premier event in the 8th region and should be held in a first class facility. There is no question that Henry Co. has the seating capacity and the location. I think most coaches and fans would like to see continued improvements to the facility since it is pretty old. Henry County does do a nice job of running the tourney also.

I have not been there. It looks nice but..........the atmosphere is great when the games are in a HIGH SCHOOL GYM.

I have been disappointed with the attendance, especially from the Oldham schools. SK and Anderson don't seem to have many fans that travel either. This is the REGIONAL TOURNAMENT, RIGHT? Where are the student sections?

SK's team d wore them out. It was only a matter of time. I would guess that Stowers got after them a bit at halftime.

You can't worry about injuries. Kays knows what he is doing; it's not his first rodeo.

Blowout and that is nothing to be ashamed of. The good thing for WV is that they will be in the opposite bracket in the regional tournament next week. They will pressure WV into 20+ turnovers and points off of the turnovers will be the difference in the game. They do that to everyone. Stowers is a defensive guru.

It has been a tough year for Sally and the Lady Rockets. She has done a great job as the Shelby County coach. I guess Sally will focus on her A. D. duties now. I doubt that she expected to be eliminated this soon. Surely they were not looking ahead to Anderson. Spencer has a real nice team. When was the last time the Lady Rockets were not in the regional tournament?

Sounds as if Trimble hung tough against a very talented North Oldham team. Good luck to North Oldham. Trimble has made strides this year with the program.

Congrats to SK. I have enjoyed keeping up with Candance. What courage it takes to play with a torn ACL. There are not too many kids that love the game enough to do it. Good luck in the future.

That just really makes me wonder. I know these kids are really good but 4 middle school starters on the JV? Is Anderson girls hurting for numbers in the program? Have they been on the JV from the get go? South has some great young talent as well.
