VM is an excellent defensive team. They stayed in their 2-3 zone all night and CC could not buy an outside shot. VM is also a pretty big team. No really big girls but several 5'-10" - 6'-1". Carroll could not match up with them and got killed on the boards. VM played a good game and seemed to have some really nice girls and coaches. Keep plugging Lady Panthers.

Very good assessment, SuperB.

Coach Shields is a believer that defense wins games. That's why VMA's defensive average score consistently ranks among the top teams in the state. I think right now, the team has the second lowest average in Kentucky. If VMA can get all three of their scorers (Schroer, Case and Kreutzer) clicking in the same game, they have a real chance to advance to Regionals this year.

Go Villa!

Best of luck Kim, Amy & Chelsea.

Thanks, Trainride. It should be an interesting week in the 34th district next week.
