The refs stunk..

Refs did stink, but it did not have a bearing on the outcome. Casey County has been one of the state's best kept secrets (until now). Many media outlets did not have them picked as the best team in their district (behind Rockcastle) or their region (behind Lincoln and Rockcastle.) Their run in the tournament is a testament to the quality of basketball in the 12th Region.

IMO SK and Casey County were as evenly matched as you can be. Casey hit their easy shots and SK missed theirs..

Casey has had a nice run but they will have to bring their A+ game tomorrow morning. Iroquois will put on some serious pressure and will show some quickness that not too many teams have. Good luck. I hope you can pull it off.

I might be wrong..need to go check..but I am thinking 2004-2005 season South Laurel got beat on sat. morning by Lex. Catholic. South Laurel was still in the 12th then. I think that group of girls made down to Elite 8 in volleyball and final four in basketball and probably pretty far in softball.

I'm all but certain that you're right.

The refs were TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Simon Kenton tallied 31 fouls (2 starters fouled out and a very big sixth man) while Casey only had 15...??? That's ridiculous!
