Casey shot 20 ft's in the 4th, were most fouls down the stretch with SK attempting to stop the clock or was the game close and called tightly?

SK does foul a lot but it usually is not called. They are very aggressive and when the refs blow the whistle like they did in this game, it hurts them. Congrats on a great season.

The refs were TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! Simon Kenton tallied 31 fouls (2 starters fouled out and a very big sixth man) while Casey only had 15...??? That's ridiculous!

 

Maybe SK actually fouled more than Casey... Have you seen SK play? They are a very physical team and maybe it's to their advantage (get away with it) everywhere except state.

I might be wrong..need to go check..but I am thinking 2004-2005 season South Laurel got beat on sat. morning by Lex. Catholic. South Laurel was still in the 12th then. I think that group of girls made down to Elite 8 in volleyball and final four in basketball and probably pretty far in softball.

Casey was 10 points better than Simon Kenton. Simon Kenton had no response for Pittman in the post and it opened up the outside. Tolliver is a great player for SK. After watching the tournament, I will have to say the two toughest regions this year was the 5th and the 12th followed closely by the 6th from top to bottom. Good luck to all teams next year.

Thats a hard argument for you to make considering you just got beat by 10 on a neutral court. I saw SK play at the Lex Catholic tourney 3 times and I knew that this would not be real close. SK struggled with Breathitt County who was not very good in one of the worst games I have ever witnessed in State Tournament history. Good luck to SK next year.

I wasn't there, so I can't really agree/disagree - but when your offense is disproportionately linked to the three point shot - as compared to your opponent - a large difference in fouls called is not uncommon at all.

 

SK took 25 threes; Casey just 9 attempts from beyond the arc...

Simon usually commits more fouls then its opponent because of the nature of its defense. When the officials let Simon get away with hand checking out front, they are dangerous. When they call it, they are in trouble. Also, Simon shoots a ton of threes and you're not going to get fouled if you're launching threes the whole game.
