  1. Are you just trying to test everyone's memory with this line? Or were you trying to be funny?
  2. When you claim to have 6 "D1" players on your team.... people are naturally inclined to have high expectations.
  3. This response skirts the issue concerning "home grown" talent.
  4. The question was: "How good is Ryle's guard play, if you can't handle the NCC press you can't beat them." The truth is: Ryle guards don't handle pressure very well. I believe Ryle uses 3 different girls at the point. They usually play a 3 or 4 guard offense. I did not "target" a single player. I pointed out a weakness with the team. And, it's not a secret.
  5. If NCC has a good press, they should crank it up against Ryle. Ryle can't handle a decent press. Crittendon is the only "ball handler" they have.
  6. I'm starting to get the impression that you're a Jenna Crittendon fan. I don't blame you. She is very talented. Fun to watch.
  7. "I've had this date, along with most Boone County residents, circled on my calendar since the team's schedules were released." Seriously? You might be right. In my opinion, "most" Boone County residents will not have ANY knowledge of the fact that this game was ever even scheduled.
  8. She started her high school career at Connor - when she was in 8th grade. You know that. The KHSAA rules allowed her to transfer to Boone. That did not change the fact that she started at Connor.
  9. You didn't mention the fact that the point guard (and leading scorer/assists) for last year's Boone County team was a transfer student. Do you think Boone would have made it as far as they did without this transfer student?
  10. I rarely agree with you, GFYBS. But, you are right on the money with this issue. Good work.
  11. I don't understand what the complaint is. If a player commits 3 fouls in the first half.... shouldn't they be called for 3 fouls?
  12. Based on this report, it seems the fouls called were very even. Ryle = 22 LexCath = 16 Being that they were behind, I would assume Ryle gave some fouls toward the end of the game. So, what information do you have to support your theory that "the referees decide to go with one team"? And, what made it "pretty obvious last night"?
  13. I also realize that the "supporters" will not want to address these issues. So, I'll just let it go for now.
  14. Let's be clear about what we are talking about. No one has been "critical" of a Ryle player. The conversation has focused on the lessons these players are being taught about "Sportsmanship". There has also been concern for those players left sitting on the bench when their team has a 30+ point lead after 3 quarters. Did they deserve this? Did the Cooper kids deserve to be humiliated? None of the Ryle supporters have addressed these issues.
  15. It seems that you would like to assume the role of "Player Advocate" for the Ryle kids. That's great. Very admirable. That being the case, are you concerned about the lessons your players were taught about "sportsmanship" in this game?
  16. So, does this mean that you don't have an explanation?
  17. At the end of the 3rd quarter, Ryle was up 52 to 20. Ryle went on to score 28 points in the 4th quarter. (Final margin of victory = 46 points.) If "the reserves got some valuable playing time", then how did this play out? You point out the fact that 2 of the 80 points came from a "reserve" player. Assuming these 2 points came in the 4th quarter, when the game was well in hand, then who scored the other 26 points in the 4th quarter?
  18. Ryle 17 20 15 28 Total = 80 Cooper 6 7 7 14 Total = 34 46 point margin. Ryle: Jump 17, Crittendon 15, Johnson 13, Cheeseman 12, Douthit 11 5 players with 68 of the 80 points. Oliverio 6, Williams 3 So, the normal 7 player rotation scored 77 of the 80 points. How many players did Ryle dress for this game?
  19. Better Question: Why should the Ref have to tell the kid to go get the ball? Kids should be taught to always retrieve the ball for the Referee. Show some respect for the Referee. It's the right thing to do. What are you trying to teach these kids?
  20. Very nice write-up by "WVFrank" and "CAL4ALL". I appreciate the effort from both of you. Nicely done!
  21. Do you know very much about the other two that coach at Ryle? What is it that makes Chris "Hands down the best coach at Ryle"?
  22. 1. Well, obviously you can believe anything you want to believe! 2. I agree. If she always wanted to go to Morehead State.... then this is great news for her. 3. Good Luck! 4. Google the name "Delle Donne"! LOL! I know of 4 different girls (that quit in the last couple years) that were each told they shouldn't quit because they have "D1" talent! LOL! Believe what you want to believe! We're each entitled to do that! Have fun! And, Good luck!
  23. 1. a.) She's not their point guard. b.) Earlier, you said she gave a "Verbal commitment". Now you say she "has accepted a full ride". 2. If the 2 Fresh and 1 Soph "will only get better with time".... wouldn't you expect the Junior to get better with time, too? If so, then why give a verbal to Morehead now? Why not wait and see if you get another offer? 3. "Championship"? What kind of "Championship" are you talking about? If Ryle really does have all this "D1" talent on the floor.... (and all that "D1" talent in the stands) I guess it's reasonable to have great expectations. Should be exciting!
  24. There were also 4 more Ryle girls that were told they had "D1" talent. (they each quit over the past couple years) So, a total of 8 girls with "D1" talent! Wow! That's a lot for one team! LOL!
