They have all starters returning from last years 18-11 team. Crittendon, Jump, Johnson, Meyer, Cheeseman, Oliverio and Williams will lead the way. If they can stay healthy along with playing a very tuff schedule, they will be ready once the District games start. They are in a very competive District which should be fun to watch.

Is Mr. Cheeseman still yelling from the freshman girls sidelines?

Ryle has a legit chance to win the region.

Great potential and still young. The core group are freshmen, sophmores and juniors. Should be a very competive district. Their tough schedule will help the come Tourney time. In all fairness to Coach Cheesman he's a competitor. My wife tells me I yell too much, as well. always constuctive, though.

I have heard Ryle has had less than 20 girls come out for all 3 teams. Any truth to that?If so, reasons??

I heard the same thing.

Ryle lost a lot from last year's team:

2 Graduated.

7 Varsity players decided not to play at Ryle this year.

Wow, for that size of school that's suprising! Could there be a big problem there?

I don't care who you are - that's funny!

I heard they only have 11 girls combined for JV/Varsity. Can anyone confirm? How can that be with a school that size? Doesn't seem like enough when you factor in injuries, etc.... they could always bring up Freshman for numbers but it seems like a better idea when it's for talent reason.

I have heard that bringing up younger girls is what has caused the problem. Jr. and Sr. girls apparently were not happy that 8th grade girls were brought up. They are not willing to put the time in when 8th grade girls that are well connected to the program play ahead of them.
