Ryle 17 20 15 28 Total = 80

Cooper 6 7 7 14 Total = 34

46 point margin.

Ryle: Jump 17, Crittendon 15, Johnson 13, Cheeseman 12, Douthit 11

5 players with 68 of the 80 points.

Oliverio 6, Williams 3

So, the normal 7 player rotation scored 77 of the 80 points.

How many players did Ryle dress for this game?

Their usual 12 or so. Whitney Dixon also scored 2 points as the reserves got some valuable playing time.

At the end of the 3rd quarter, Ryle was up 52 to 20.

Ryle went on to score 28 points in the 4th quarter.

(Final margin of victory = 46 points.)

If "the reserves got some valuable playing time", then how did this play out?

You point out the fact that 2 of the 80 points came from a "reserve" player.

Assuming these 2 points came in the 4th quarter, when the game was well in hand, then who scored the other 26 points in the 4th quarter?

:isurrender: I think you know the answer to that.

Just remember, what comes around goes around.

Based on the 4th quarter statistics, i would assume that is when the numerous D-1 coaches arrived to evaluate Ryle's many D-1 prospects score 28 4th quarter points in a blowout against a fellow 33rd District rival and sister Boone County school. As Fat Albert would say: Kind of like school during the summer....No class.

Can understand your feelings, but it's good to see the Ryle critics are back. We were afraid you were cured of your obsession with the Ryle Girl's program. I would like to complement you on the fact you focused on the adults and not the girls who are only doing their best and shouldn't be criticized because they're easy targets. Also, some of you have very impressive statistical skills. Could one of you do my taxes?

So, does this mean that you don't have an explanation?

I have a prediction concerning the adults in the Ryle girl's program: Implosion.
So, does this mean that you don't have an explanation?

I'm not trying to convince you of anything, good or bad, about the philosophy of that game or any other. I just know there are some contributors with an axe to grind with the Ryle program. Fair enough, that's your perogative. I just hope the players are not used as easy targets when they just want to play as well as they can.

It seems that you would like to assume the role of "Player Advocate" for the Ryle kids.

That's great.

Very admirable.

That being the case, are you concerned about the lessons your players were taught about "sportsmanship" in this game?

Hmm... Seems like a despute between everyone against ryle. In a district game like this, you don't want to keep the score close at all, but in a 40+ game, it would be nice to see some new names in the box score. These girls don't want to sit around when they could be getting new experience, plus, you risk injury of your top 7 by leaving them in simply to run the score up. Agreed, not very classy.

I spoke with parents who couldn't understand why Ryle had a full court press on when they were up by over 20 pts in the third quarter. Was Cooper posing that big of a comeback threat? I can understand wanting your players to keep playing hard but you could do that dropped back in a zone defense. Things that make you go Hmmmm.
