Iroquois wins the 2009 Girls State Championship!

Congratulations!

Congrats to Iroquois on the title. To E'town also on a fine season.

That over and back call was horrible! Because the Iroquois player got the loose ball and threw it out of bounds as the referee was blowing his whistle. It should have been E-Town ball, with a 1 point lead.

Congratulations to Iroquois on the state championship.

Congratulations E-Town on a great season, as well.

Congratulations to Iroquois! Way to go!:dancingpa

Alex Jones, I think better than advertised.

Congrats to Iroquois... I knew this was their year!

I don't watch much lady's hoops, but I came away very impressed by the level of play. Some very nice players on the court tonight for both teams.

Now I know how the Highland/Rock fans feel. We got a ring too. :ylsuper:

You are 100% correct. Nobody from E-town touched the ball once it went into the backcourt, but the referee totally choked. What an awful time for an official to make such a terrible call, and in the state championship game. I couldn't believe that the E-town coaching staff didn't go crazy over that one. The announcers of the game didn't really say anything about it either... Totally blown call...

You are correct. Not a good time to blow a call.

After seeing all the top players, I think Alex Jones is the best high school senior in KY. Eastern has a steal!

As always 9th region refs making their mark.

The call they are talking about was not blown by the "9th Region" official.
