I agree. I played for Fraley at GCHS and he knows the school, the history, and is a great coach. I would love to see him there.

You are correct in that Stringfellow will be a huge asset to the team, but as I have stated in other posts, I worry about his health. He seems to have the worst luck in the world when it comes to injuries on and off the field. Nothing serious, mind you, but the little things that can aggravate a player throughout the year.

It doesn't seem to be a problem for GCHS. They usually sell sign space for the outfield fence to local businesses. Last year, they sold so many signs that they covered the fence and had to find room for the others to go.

I agree with others that this will probably be the best 1st round game.(the closest anyways) Raceland has really picked up their game as of late, and I feel that they will prevail. Raceland by 8.

I really wish they would put the same effort into baseball that they put into basketball and football.

Spirit cards work well. For those that don't know about them, they are discount cards good for one year at several local restaurants, bowling alleys, etc. The front of them lists the organization that is selling them, and the back lists the discounts that the buyer is entitled to.

Hhmm, could it be that the GCHS basketball team is going to mimic their gridiron brethern? If I recall, they had a dismal regular season only to make a great run in the post-season.
