Will Ashland Daily be putting out a season preview this year? :fire:

If I am not mistaken they have something about each team different days of the week it starts around the middle of March I think.

I really wish they would put the same effort into baseball that they put into basketball and football.

Not sure they have the personel to cover Baseball like they do the other sports.

Its not about personnel, its about sponsors. If you'll notice in the football and basketball previews, they are able to get tons of sponsors. Baseball unfortunately doesn't "sell" like the other two big sports around here.

I doubt if effort is the issue. If the ad department at the paper can't sell the ads to pay for a special section, well, that's just one of the unfortunate realities of the business. Blame it on your local business community for not supporting baseball the way they do hoops and FB.

It doesn't seem to be a problem for GCHS. They usually sell sign space for the outfield fence to local businesses. Last year, they sold so many signs that they covered the fence and had to find room for the others to go.
