I'm surprised that their isn't more names mentioned on here. Is that all of the talent in the 16th region? If so , it's not going to be a very good year for area teams. List some and what school they play for so we can follow their upcoming season.

Raceland: Peyton Martin, Josh Wilson, John Carver

Greenup: Eric Craft, Billy Logan, Tyler Hieneman, Dakotah Greenslate, Juan Staten

Maybe some can help fill in the blanks. My preseason 16th region player of the year is Racelands` Peyton Martin. Probably the best hands in the region since Chicago White Sox draftee Dustin Shafer from Russell. Peyton is aqn exciting player to watch and he makes his team mates better.

Not sure he's in the same league as Shafer was , Shafer could do it all , hitting, fielding and what a arm , but is a real good player . Logan from Greenup is another that should be considered for player of year but saying that , there's several that could be added to that list. kstcu has a nice list of area players that any coach would like to have. Looking foreward to seeing and reading about them this season.

Fleming has a lot of young talent..Should be a very fun team to watch if the right kids get the right amount of playing time

Ryan Crisp...... Both were every day players last year.

 

Brett Moore left hand pitcher a jr. that threw a 1 or 2 hitter against Ashland last yr.

 

Chase Wiler a jr. and partime starter last year is going to be a real nice player good speed.

 

A couple of new kids 1 from Tenn. I hear is a real nice player.

 

Lions should compete this year and could have a nice team come tourny time.

Greenup also has some young talent that will come up this year. Grubb and Chaffins are a couple more to watch out for.

Who will be the top pitchers for Greenup this year? I know that Tyler Hieneman will be in that group. But who will follow him and so on?

Drew Skaggs, Juan Staton, Kyle Martin, Stringfellow, just to name a few.

If Scott Gambills elbow is ok this year he will also be one to watch for at Rose Hill. Great defense and good pitcher, struggles at the plate at times.

 

Martin is probally the best all around player.

Very possible that 6'4" Andrew Fannin will be healthy enough to pitch this season for Morgan County. He played last year but only 1st Base...he was an outstanding pitcher before rotator cuff surgery...if he can pitch...he'll help bolster a solid staff with Lopez, Nickell, Harvey, and Jesse Cox
