  1. Greenup is better this year than last year.
  2. I think you must be a Boyd Co fan, that is upset about the loss, you can blame it on the rain, you can blame it on any thing that you want to, but in the end Greenup Co came out on top. Every one from Boyd is saying that the game should have been stopped and finished on Wednesday, but we would have had the same outcome. I think you are forgetting that there were two teams that played in the rain and the best team won. So I think that you need to get the bad taste out of your mouth and move on.
  3. It does not matter where Grennup plays, they have played more games away than at home. They have went to Louisville and Lexington and have won those games, and beating Ballard which was ranked 12th, and also went to Louisa and beat Lawrence Co which was also a ranked team. Logan has prepared these boys to play on any field. So I dont think that Raceland is goining to beat Greenup because they are at home, unless they are helped by the umpires.
  4. I was at the game and I think this is the right score.
  5. I beleive that you could put Greenslate,Skaggs and Martin up against any team in the region and come out with a win, as long as Greenup continues to hit the ball, and keeps up the defense. Greenup is playing great this year, they have a tough outfield with Skaggs,Reed and Staten. Reed and Skaggs have made some great plays this year.
  6. Greenup has won alot of games with the rest of the pitching staff. Greenup's Ace is Tyler Hieneman, but Greenup's number two, three and fourth pitchers is as good as the other teams ace pitcher.
  7. Drew Scaggs pitched for Greenup and done a fine job. Greenup was ahead 6 to 1 when he came out in the top of the 7th inning. Owen County scored only 1 run and that was in the 1st inning.
  8. Greenup Co takes the win with Greenup 12 and Boyd 8. Greenup County pitched Kyle Martin.
  9. Actually he did not quit the yankees, all of the coaches kept moving up as their team moved up. The yankees that Greg started with moved up to high school, so then he did not have anyone to coach because the younger teams already had their coach, that they started with when they first got into the AABC program.
  10. I think that East has the best chance of knocking GCHS out of the tournament.
  11. Boyd had their number during regular season, but when it came to tournament time GCHS won.
  12. No he can not, but after him you have Greenslate,Martin,Skaggs,Craft,Rice
  13. Yes, it will help them alot. But i have also heard, jus like GCHS fan, that this "SS" group was jus made by Greenslate,Reed, and Staten because they are all very close friends and were on varsity last year together. So i dont think that we can say they are in this group to jus by thier talent level.
  14. James and Hardin will be good in the future if they keep working, but i just dont see them contibuting to GC this year. Hardin is a good pitcher but just hasnt seen any varsity starts, or any time on varsity. Once he gets in there and used to playing against the older kids he will be fine, as well as James. These two arent quite there with the other members of the "SS".
  15. If he isnt the best sophomore pitcher in the area then who is? I believe he was the only freshman on the all tournament team last year. As of right now, in my opinion, Greenup is the team to beat after knocking off Boyd last year and winning the region. They only lost 4 players to graduation, while one only played in the post season. Greenup has alot of talent and can replace these players, while boyd lost alot to graduation. I look for GC to beat boyd again this season.
  16. I don't remember Staten doing any pitching.
  17. My best guess is that the Catcher will be Logan, 1st base will be Hieneman, when he is not pitching, 2nd base will be a toss up between Craft and Staten, SS will be between Zack Reed or Juan Staten, 3rd base Kyle Martin or Greenslate, right field will be Skaggs with Center going to Zack Stringfellow and Left going to Madden. But who knows!!! Can't wait to find out.
