A lot of very good points on this topic. Officials SHOULD only concern themselves with the game. When a fan or fans get out of hand.....a home administrator SHOULD "step up" and do their job. With administrators like that.....officials DON`T have to worry about anything except the game......which is why they are on the floor to begin with.

You MAY be correct .....HOWEVER.....attention comes slower to those who just sit back and wait for it. Just maybe Clark has some good people who will work the ole proverbial publicity trail and in return ......boom.....here is national attention. Be a salesman !!! -
Did you REALLY want the answer or did you just want people to get on here and put silly stuff??? The correct answer HAS been given

Nobody has STILL NOT mentioned hitting a 3 while being intentionally fouled. Hit 2 free throws and BOOM === 5 points

I in no way said that your situation was an official that was "doing it properly". As with every job or hobby ...... there are a few that make things difficult on others. It sounds as though the person you are speaking of might very well have just been "lazy". Don`t know ..... BUT ...... My response wasn`t single handedly regarding your situation BUT the question of what is getting into these officials today. -
Retrieving a loose basketball

Officials are taught to NOT chase a loose ball in ANY sport. In basketball .... if an official goes to get a loose ball and someone in his/her area of responsibility gets elbowed, pushed, jabbed or even spit on.........all will wonder what actually happened. The official responsible to have seen it didn`t ...... all because he was chasing a loose ball during dead ball action. This does look lazy HOWEVER ......please trust me that it is ACTUALLY preventive officiating. Also....alot of times it is really interesting to see how the ball got to where it is at that moment anyway. -

Exactly how do we come up with two different names of who hit the shot? Was anyone ACTUALLY in attendance or are we guessing? -

It seems to me that we are ASSUMING that Dr. Foster ACTUALLY made the exact statement that we all read in the paper. MAYBE......just MAYBE .....for the first time EVER apparently ...... the paper MIGHT have mistakenly shortened a comment or even left a word or two out for how much room was allotted for the story and he MIGHT have been misquoted. I DON`T KNOW.........Just a thought

Amber went deep at University of Kentucky in the Easst / West Allstar game this opast weekend. She had a double off the wall in center and hit an absolute BOMB over the 210 foot sign in center. She will now go on to represent the 16th region in the Ky. / Tn. games in about a week in Tenn.

Racelands` Josh Wilson had a senior night to remember. The lefty threw a 6 - 0 no hit shutout against the Morgan County Cougars. Wilson walked one batter and then promptly picked him off. He faced the minimum 21 batters.

I`m a little late checking in on this however ............congrats Coach. I agree that you are all about the kids and it has been a pleasure being a part of a few of these wins. You are always respectful on the field. -

Wow --- Big time win over a big time pitcher. Adams is about as solid a player as I`ve seen this year and Lyons is proving himself to be a big game performer. Josh Wilson was the winning pitcher tonight in the 16th region all "A" final. These three are a nice nucleus for the Post 76 American Legion summer team. -

16 guys that score over 1000 points in one season is fantastic BUT I agree with earlier poster that 600+ average over a 5 year period is astronomical!!! Congrats Jonathon -
