Kentuky.com is reporting it is Amber Riddle of Rowan County, congrats to Amber!

How many career home runs did Amber have? I know she had already broken the state record last year, just curious what she ended with?

I am not for sure on the number, but I think I heard and read somewhere on here that she was either 6 or 7 from the national record.

That is phenomenal! That may be a state record that stands for quite some time.

Amber finished her high school career with 55 homeruns.

Wowzers! That is awesome! Where is she going to play college ball at? With that kind of power, surely she is going somewhere! I thought there was something on here a while back, but I can't remember where she was leaning towards.

I think the old record was 30 HRs held by Megan Shadrick from Hopkins County Central. Amber nearly doubled that number! Just amazing! I know that some have said they didn't play as tough a schedule, but still, ... you have to have the 'guns' to go yard, and Riddle sure did that pretty consistently! She also led the state in career grand slams with 4 before this season began.

Didn't she sign with Morehead? Anyway congrats to Amber on this great accomplishment. Best of luck in college. :thumb:

I think you may be correct. Either way, she has set a record that may stand for quite some time hitting 55 HRs and the old record before she broke it last season was 30. Nearly doubling a state record is a phenomenal accomplishment!

She is going to Morehead State University.

I was told she was 1-1 with 12 or so walks in regional tourney. I asked in different thread if anyone had exact stats and got no responses.

Sounds like the regional teams weren't going to let her beat them.

I would like to know how many walks she has taken the last 2 years.

Good question. I would be willing to bet that it is a BUNCH, especially with anyone on base.

She was moved to leadoff midway thru this season and still was walked to lead game off more than once.
