I have to agree. Greenup is really loaded for bear this year. All of the 16th region should be good. If the Muskies play up to there potential, they just may rival the 96 squad :eek::eek: And, by the way, I hadn't heard the rumor about Hensley. I knew he had to have shoulder surgery, which is why he didn't pitch much last year. Please keep me updated.

I agree totally. I have been watching some of these boys since t-ball, and I can't wait to see them back on the field. Coach Logan is a great motivator, and will have the team ready for another trip to Applebee's! Hopefully I will see you all there. :thumb:

I have a sneaking suspicion that we will be talking about these two teams again in the regional finals. At least I hope so.

When I was there it was a huge deal. Some teachers even gave extra credit for dressing up. Of course, for some of us, EVERY day was Farmer's day.

Hopefully, Stringfellow will stay healthy this year. I swear, he has some of the worst luck I have ever seen.

Hienamen from Greenup has already signed with a school. I think it was Morehead. Of the four seniors GCHS graduated last year, 3 of them went on to play college ball.

Juan will be fine. I think his biggest problem last year was nerves. He was put in some sticky situations, but all in all he did well.

Nothing beats "Farmer Day" at Greenup when we play Russell!!

Drew Skaggs, Juan Staton, Kyle Martin, Stringfellow, just to name a few.

Greenup also has some young talent that will come up this year. Grubb and Chaffins are a couple more to watch out for.

I heard of a high school pep band who received a technical for playing "3 Blind Mice" after a bad call. Don't ask me how I heard about it. :sssh:

Don't make me feel bad. The sad part is, I have been fishing with Stringfellow a few times. Him and my brother were good friends. I saw Eric's dad yesterday, too. Maybe I am just getting too old.

Several key players are coming back. Tyler Hienamen, the 16th Region MVP, will be back. Pitching shouldn't be a problem. Out of the seniors we lost, Austin Wright pitched the most. Hensley and Rowe pretty much stayed in the outfield. Bentley did pitch some, but not until late in the season. The rest of their starters will be back, such as catcher Billy Logan, Juan Staton, James Madden, Drew Skaggs (who should see some innings on the mound). Also, there are a lot of JV players who will see some time.

True, it was a good draw, but don't forget the things outside of the games that happened. One coach's house caught fire, the bus broke down, etc. A lot of people said that the winner of the Greenup-Boyd game would be the winner of the region. Ashland put up a good game in the finals, so the draw wasn't totally easy.

And who do you think will go out of Eastern Ky? I can't think of anyone in the 15th who will challenge JC, and in the 16th, the biggest problem for GCHS will be Boyd Co., and they lost quite a bit to graduation.

At least 6 of those teams should be back in the tournament. Shelby County is the one variable. I hope they do make it. They were a joy to watch play.
