I am hearing the Bird Defense is looking nasty. Look for Blake Schutte a JR next yr to see some time at LB. The speed and aggressiveness is off the charts with this defense.

Not much of a spring practice if it rains and snows everyday. While SK practices indoors and gets better!

 

If you think you can get anything done in your indoor facility, your crazy. You probably can get things done with the lines but nothing in the passing game. It is waaay too small to do anything in there.

Cracks me up Highlands fans are more worried how bad they would beat SK instead of worrying about who they play this year! Elder loss, Boyle County loss, Ryle loss and I think Dixie beats them this year!

 

The opinion of someone that said sk would beat ryle twice and 3 d1 linebackers.

^ Why the emoticon? I have heard from several people who keep a close eye on Highlands' offseason preparation that this year's defensive unit will be very, very good. From what I've been hearing the unit will have a nice mix of depth, talent and experience, under the guidance of an outstanding defensive coordinator.

 

Bpiccolo didn't say HHS' defense was going to be the very best ever at HHS... he said it could be "one of the best." Do you consider that unbelievable?

 

One thing's for sure: with HHS playing teams like Boyle County, Ryle, Dixie and Cincinnati Elder, and having to match up against the stars on Trinity's offense in a scrimmage, Highlands' defense will have the OPPORTUNITY to show itself to be one of the program's all-time great defenses! Go 'Birds!

This brings back bad memories, I believe when I played for the neers it was 8 td difference, rest assured my boys will be on the winning side of the scoreboard 30+ years later lol:lol:

I don't think "one of the best" surprises anyone it was more the statement in a "very long time" that may have some people wondering!!!

For those in the know and to inform those who dont know.... It is traditionally a preseason honor to be recogonized and compared to the great programs and units in the past whether its a Highlands lover or a Hater. The theory and ultimate goal and challenge is if this yrs team can live up to the billing of other teams then really good things happen in December. Wow! Nothing like being a Highlands football player, a kid grows up in a hurry, thats for sure.

Does Highlands conclude their spring practice today/tonight or does it go on next week as well? Kind of out of the loop and might be interested in attending the last practice.
