I definitely tend toward the dry wines.:thumb: Me too, unless I am drinking whites... Now I have had that and it is indeed great! Irish perfection in a glass! You sound like a fan of "The Pub". They have several great custom black and tans. Pretty good place. Love the fish and chips too.
February 16, 201016 yr Bells Winter Ale I think it's called is a good Winter Brew. I like the Sam Adams Winter too. Hoegaarden is probably my favorite though.

February 16, 201016 yr Just opened a bottle of CFW home brew. A lovely Belgian Abbey clone. Quite good. Nice amber color, hint of caramel and nut flavor, with a light floral finish from the Kent Golding hops.
February 17, 201016 yr I like Blue Moon but my wife hates it. We mostly drink George Killian's Irish Red Killian's Irish Red is my all time favorite.:thumb: I drink Killian's all the time even though my pocket is only currently allowing Bud Light.:lol:
February 17, 201016 yr It's ok, no better. On the other hand, the Kentucky Bourbon Ale is atrocious. I've had stale vomit tastes trapped in my mouth after a hard night of partying (in my youth of course) that tasted better jmo. Man, I'd have to beg to differ on that one, personally. Regardless, right now I'm having a nice cold Boddington's Pub Ale.
February 17, 201016 yr Tonight, it's Maredsous 10. This is a Belgian golden ale with an ABV of 10%. This is a bottle-fermented beer brewed in the Benedictine tradition. Often times, beers with such a high alcohol content sacrifice taste for the high amount of alcohol. This beer sacrifices no taste.
February 17, 201016 yr Was down the farm this weekend with some friends clearing fields of trees and brush. Worked up a thirst. Opened a beer. Had two sips and then poured out the rest. How some folks can drink that stuff is beyond me. Should have taken a flask with me in my pocket instead of the chain saw tool.
