Bells Winter Ale I think it's called is a good Winter Brew. I like the Sam Adams Winter too. Hoegaarden is probably my favorite though.

I've found that Ky Ale leaves something to be desired. Such as flavor.

Just opened a bottle of CFW home brew. A lovely Belgian Abbey clone. Quite good. Nice amber color, hint of caramel and nut flavor, with a light floral finish from the Kent Golding hops.

It's ok, no better. On the other hand, the Kentucky Bourbon Ale is atrocious. I've had stale vomit tastes trapped in my mouth after a hard night of partying (in my youth of course) that tasted better jmo.

 

Man, I'd have to beg to differ on that one, personally. Regardless, right now I'm having a nice cold Boddington's Pub Ale.

Tonight, it's Maredsous 10. This is a Belgian golden ale with an ABV of 10%. This is a bottle-fermented beer brewed in the Benedictine tradition. Often times, beers with such a high alcohol content sacrifice taste for the high amount of alcohol. This beer sacrifices no taste.

Was down the farm this weekend with some friends clearing fields of trees and brush. Worked up a thirst. Opened a beer. Had two sips and then poured out the rest. How some folks can drink that stuff is beyond me. Should have taken a flask with me in my pocket instead of the chain saw tool.
