February 22, 201016 yr We either have to shut this thread down or I need to quit frequenting it. I was a sucker and gave up alcohol for Lent, it's been an interesting weekend without the boxed wine and bourbon.
February 22, 201016 yr Had a Snake River Pale Ale today after doing some work outside in the nice weather. Opened a bottle of Chateau Ausone St. Emilion yesterday with something Mrs. Hearsay made special. Have some left, but TTC can't have any, because he's not sharing his Belgian darks.

February 22, 201016 yr I love Dos Equis! There's a restaurant in Frankfort called El Rio Grande. Right off of I-64 by Western Hills. Food is excellent. 32oz Dos Equis drafts - $2.99 all day - everyday.

Zima was a lightly-carbonated, alcoholic beverage, made and distributed by the Coors Brewing Company, now MillerCoors. Introduced in 1993, it was marketed not as a beer, but as an alternative to beer. It is no longer made as far as I know. People that drank it would sometimes put a jolly rancher in it to add to the flavor.

February 22, 201016 yr As I remember it, Zima's were sort of a detector for...well, I don't want to say the word. But if you saw the "John Edward" episode of Southpark, you'll know what I'm talking about.
March 9, 201016 yr I toyed with a Sam Adams variety pack this weekend and tried the Nobel Pils for the first time and really enjoyed it, I also tried the Coastal Wheat but I can't say I enjoyed it as much as the others. IMO Sam Adams has a great thing going with their seasonal beers, I’m already craving a Summer Ale and when that time comes I’m sure I’ll then be craving a Winter Lager.
