I got a case of Yuenling brought back to me from Nashville last night......makes for a nice Sunday.

 

Just got home from the Pitt Jam Fest. Yuengling it is...

 

I've been on a Yuengling kick for some time now... That run is over, there’s a new beer in my life and her name is Stella Artois. I've had it before but never enjoyed it like i have the last few weeks. It has a 5% ABV (more than yuengling) and is as smooth as any beer I've ever had. IMO it is the perfect summer beer and if you haven’t tried it, you should.

So are distributors rights state specific? I drove to Lawrenceburg to buy Fat Tire. Curious why I can't buy it in KY or OH?

That could be one of two situations:

 

1) Breweries and their distributors decide on the limits of their beer distribution, and as the case has been with Yuengling, (until now), the brewery decided not to include the states of Ohio and Kentucky in their distribution area.

 

2) Conversely, you could have a case like Stagnaro Distributors, for example, who distributes Miller/Coors products in NKY and Greater Cincinnati. They have to set up two separate companies beneath the "Stagnaro Distributors" umbrella in order to distribute in Ohio and Kentucky. The beer in their Ohio warehouses can ONLY be sold to Ohio vendors, and the beer in Kentucky can ONLY be sold to Kentucky vendors.

I've seen this advertised some on TV here of late...Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. Have read some reviews where people either absolutely loved it, or hated it. Anybody here have it before?

Good call on the Stella! Had a glass of it for the first time Friday night at Mitchell's Fish Market. Definitely a very smooth beer! Thanks for the recommendation!! (Although, I'm afraid to see what it's going to cost me in the store!)

Last night I was drinking on some Bell's Two Hearted Ale.

 

I was working in the Kalamazoo, MI area last week. I made a trip to Bell's Brewery and the place is awesome. They had about 10 to 12 beers on tap that they don't even distribute. I wanted to try all of them but there would have been no way I would have been walking out of that place after that many brews.
