September 23, 201114 yr Had some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale last night, for the first time. WOW!!! It was fantastic!!Yes. I still fondly recall going to Pazzo's on my 3 hour break while at UK and getting a Hawaiian pizza and Bourbon Barrel on draft at least twice a week.

There is one in Michigan that also brews a VERY good KBB. The brewery is called Founders, they are located in Grand Rapids. If you can't get it in Florida, have someone mail it to you. Delicious! Stay away from Founder's Devil Dancer. It is a triple hopped IPA and it honestly tastes like it will melt your tongue. There is just too much hops for me in that one.

September 24, 201114 yr Went to the open house at a new brewery in Louisville last night, Against the Grain. It just opened in the former Browning's location inside Louisville Slugger Field on Main Street. All three beers I had were very good but I HIGHLY recommend the Ledersmoken, a smoked-malt marzen-style beer. Unbelievable. The grand opening will take place this Tuesday night, October 4. Louisvillians, go forth and drink.
