Look for St.Xavier QB Brian Buehner to throw his name into the hat for Mr.Football honors. He "potentially" could have the fastest group of receivers in the state. Buehner's running ability makes him lethal outside the pocket. I look for this kid to put up huge numbers this season.

I like St. Xavier's Brian Buehner and I, too, think he will have a big year. That fact that he is in his first year as a full-time starter, greatly reduces his chances to win this award, in my opinion. He is in a very similar position that Will Stein of Trinity was in Fall, 2007. He finished behind Corey Robinson of Lone Oak who threw every down and 90+ touchdown passes in his first year as a starter. St. X is more balanced and that will keep Brian Buehner from having those eye-popping passing statistics.

The fastest group of receivers in the state of Kentucky, scrimmaged against St. X last Friday night. St. Xavier's defense prevented the Henry Clay's quarterback from getting them the ball to show their speed, however.

Channing Fugate will take Mr. Football

Andrews from Fort Campbell..... He kicks the ball off, makes the tackle, throws the TDs, Runs the TDs in, and then kicks the extra point, and if for some reason someone plays them close this year, he'll play in the defensive secondary and pick the ball off and run it in for a score. This kid makes me want to come watch him just to see what he'll do next. Last week he threw it from the Fort Campbell 46 down to the other teams 2 on the run and on the wrong foot. Andrews Mr football!

I voted Miles but I've read up on Fugate and he sounds like a solid player, however he's also playing in a lower class which does factor into some peoples decision. Personally I think if Collinsworth has a solid season and Highlands wins another title he could win it pretty easily.

Rees MacShara had 13 carries for 354 yards and 5tds tonight against Rockcastle County. :scared::eek::popcorn:

Just saying though.......:idunno:

Rees Macshara averaged 27+ yards per carry tonight.

He really put on a show.:notworthy:

Fugate with 5 rushes for 4 yards last night? is this right? If so this has to hurt his chances. I can't see a Mr. Football held to 4 yards for a game. I think this opens some doors for some others. Boyle's Reese McShara has to atleast be considered now.

If 13 rushes for 354 yards and 5 tds doesn't open a door for Rees MacShara, I don't know what will. :idunno:

If not for an unneeded block he'd have had over 400 yards and 6 tds.:isurrender::notworthy:

When was the last time anyone ran for this amount of yardage?

MacShara has to be in the conversation, those numbers are sick.

MacShara was breakin ankles and racking up yardage tonight, that dude can turn on a dime, he's definately been consistant over the last 2 seasons.

Rees MacShara is the man.:thumb:

I was talking to someone during the game and he made a phone call to someone and said that IF the 6th. touchdown was not called back, that Reese's performance would have placed him in the top 15 ever for 1 game. (402 yards). I have no clue if it's true, but it sure is something to think about if it is.
