He didn't make the inappropriate remark. He was simply defending the truth. Nothing wrong with that. The one thing that is accurate is that we need to focus on the game ahead.

Whitley County... I was an official at the Newport game early in the season...through out the year I never saw a more physical team. That includes BOONE, SK, MALE and several others I was on the field for.

 

Thats good for Whitely, because that's about the only way they will beat the birds, and I really don't even see that happening.....I'm quite sure if you ask every opponent they play, they will tell you the HHS boys were quite physical also........Also, the team speed of HHS has a way of overcoming some amount of physical play......You can't hit em if ya can't catch em!

Highlands is a 3A sized school with about 400 boys...Whitley Co is a 5A sized school with about 600 boys...I am confused

I said that they (HHS) would have an advantage in conditioning and numbers. They will have an advantage in athletes at HHS.

Therefore, HHS will have more athletes on the field than WCHS. Maybe not more kids, but more ATHLETIC kids.

Yeah, you thought the Bryan Station game was going to be ugly, too.

 

Whitley is better than Bryan Station. I hope that Highlands realizes it just a little too late.:sssh:

It looks like Whitley's biggest test was at Bell Co when they lost significantly. Of course, Bell is a pretty good team, Highlands fans will tell you that.

 

Whitley was a much better team late in the year than at the beginning and Bell has a pretty decent team as well.

 

They had more total offense than Bell in that game, mistakes and TO's really hurt them. They must play virtually mistake free to have a shot at Highlands.

I think that comparing scores is the weakest of all arguments. I think Highlands will win based on speed.

I would like to see this thread, more focused on Highlands and Whitley County. This is a 5A Semifinal match-up, between teams which deserve the discussion.

 

All this unfair advantage and things, needs to be discussed in the Public/Private forum and not here. Let's get the focus back to the Players and upcoming game.

I think it's about three hours straight down I-75.
