I only counted 7 Seniors, maybe next year for Whitley County.

I'm sure Whitley has a nice team, but IMO they have seen nobody like Highlands and will be in for a long night against the Birds. HHS proved last night why they're the best team in the state. From looking at WC's averages for the year, it looks like they're another one dimensional team. I doubt they run the ball as well as JC and Highlands speed should cause a lot of trouble for them, just like it did against JC.

Agreed, you don't find teams like Highlands too often. They have a "Football Program", not just a "Football Team" Ranked nation wide several times over the years, and with all the state championships to merit those national rankings as well. The only program in the state that can compare in my mind is Trinity, which is a private school, so yea we all know how everyone feels about that.

I would give anything to be up there for this one. Can't get the time off to do so, though. I can't leave my old man, either right now.

 

I was at the Madison Central / Highlands game and I have to admit, them Birds are good. I've seen Armwood (#3 USA Today) play this year, and I think Highlands is every bit as good as the Hawks.

 

I haven't seen Whitley play since the Knox Central game in 1977.
