Highlands took out what might have been their toughest opponent going into the semis.

 

Can't look past Whitley County of course but the only team I could see giving them fits from here on out is Owensboro but the birds have to win this game before they get to that one.

I have been thinking about this. IMO, WCHS has been rolling along all season and could end up being a victim of it's own successes. If they get down by more than a handful of points, how do they react?

 

It's not happened to them since early in the season. If they keep cool heads, they hang around. If they panic, every mistake they make can lead to points. I've seen this happen to a lot of teams.

Your knowledge of Whitley is limited to what you saw at one game, and saw on the boards and newspapers.

 

Whitley has been down in the playoffs to Pulaski and responded very well.

 

But I with everyone saying Whitley will be beaten so bad their mothers won't recognize them, I think Jim Black and the team have just decided to mail forfiet forms in and not even play.

 

You are right they are just a little old team that have never had any success and this is all a fluke. My Gosh how lucky they are to even have shoes to play in.....

I'm sure Whitley has a nice team, but IMO they have seen nobody like Highlands and will be in for a long night against the Birds. HHS proved last night why they're the best team in the state. From looking at WC's averages for the year, it looks like they're another one dimensional team. I doubt they run the ball as well as JC and Highlands speed should cause a lot of trouble for them, just like it did against JC.
