Supposed to rain in Willamsburg today, Wednesday and Thursday this week according to weather.com. So this could impact both teams running games and might give the receivers an advantage since it will make it harder for the defensive backs to react and cover.

Highlands did indeed only run 37 plays against JC. A lot of that had to do with JC trying to grind the clock by running (and having success I might add) and Highlands scoring quick when they did have the ball. Highlands put up 21 points on 5 plays during the second half and only had I believe 3 possessions in the first half.

 

I believe the last 4 offensive touchdowns came on only 8 plays.

To be honest Whitley has not thrown the ball much, because they have not needed to very often. That is not to say that they can have an air assault in one week but they can throw effectively. The key is to throw it when you want to throw not when you have to throw it.

The thing about the weather is that both teams will have to play in it, it will rain, snow, sleet, and hail on both sides of the ball. The interesting thing will be if it is foggey, which it was for one game this year.

 

Both teams will be prepared for whatever Mothernature throws at them.

Great observation...It goes for any team. If you HAVE to throw it, it allows the rushers to pin their ears back and fly to the QB.
