Lyons has a torn MCL. Not sure how long he will be out.

 

It depends on what grade of tear he has. My guess 4-6 weeks.

I couldn't believe UK didn't capitalize on SC turnovers in the first half. In the second half I thought UK's DB's were horrible.

If its an MCL, as I mentioned before, we are fortunate because it means he won't be out for the season. We'll get him back late and possibly for a bowl game too IF we make it that far

Special teams did blow this game but our offense has to play better. BTW, we should have went for the TD when we were on the 2...

I think you go into next week with the intention of giving Cobb and Hartline 2 series apiece to start the game. Whoever looks better, stays in.

 

I do agree its real hard to move Cobb to QB with the WR situation as bad as it is, but Hartline really isn't working out. Maybe Randall will be worse, but IMO the Cats need to find that out next Saturday.

I still think the Cats will win 8 games this season.

 

 

They will--in basketball. If Lyons is gone the rest of the season UK won't win more than one more game. Hartline can't throw the ball downfield and if Cobb moves to quarterback he won't have anyone to throw too.

Put Cobb in at qb that away he gets to touch the ball on every play during offense. He can pass it or pull it down and run. Hartline has to go.I said it since the Louisville game he is not ready for the SEC. Yes Kentucky beat the teams they should be in the begining of the season 4-0 but this should have been a win this is one of the worst teams Spurrier has coached for offense in a while.

With a depleted receiving corps, I think Cobb is right where he needs to be. Make that right where he HAS to be.

 

And that is a big dilemna for the coaching staff.

 

Take away Cobb's 9 or so catches today and how much more pitiful would our offense have been? (minus Dicky Lyons who is now out).

 

The offensive problems are multiple and not just Hartline.

 

 

 

Hartline can play at WR, so put him there and move Cobb to QB.

Doesn't matter, until the future leader on this team starts calling pass plays that take the receiver more that 6 yards down the field we will be watching a very dissapointed megatalented QB waste his time in Lexington. Oh and on the same play we would of needed 9 yards to get the first down.:mad: Kentucky is able to put better product on the field than it showed yesterday.

Lest we forget, SC has one of the best defenses in the SEC.

Many were expecting big things this year for SC, but they have shot themseves in the foot quite a bit and were doing it yesterday, and UK did them some favors.

Special teams was not good.

Mastay got off off a bad punt that gave SC great field position on their final scoring drive.

Just a litany of things to be frustrated about.

Now you got a coach coming in that thinks they can run over UK in Petrino...

Absolute must game for UK.

I don't think it is just a Hartline problem, it is the WRs not running good routes, and the O-line being inconsistent with their blocking.

Hartline is worse than Dusty Bonner. I can't believe that is the best we can do.

 

Bonner was much better than Hartline.

Guarantee that if UK fixes their offense the defense will go in the tank.
