October 11, 200817 yr Lyons has a torn MCL. Not sure how long he will be out. That's what I'm hearing as well, I would say his seasons over. That's to bad for the UK, but I wish Dickey all the luck in the world for a speedy recovery and hopefully he gets back to full strenth and can play on Sunday's next year.
October 12, 200817 yr Had USC by 6, but was pulling for the Cats. I reread the predictions and I was surprised by the love for the Cats. I thought when I saw them that I the QB still needs some time to learn how to change the plays and throw downfield. The move by Darth Visor changing QBs gave them a spark. I hated seeing the wideout get hurt, I guess he is a senior. Beat the Hogs.

October 12, 200817 yr I have defended Hartline in the past, but I can't tonight. He was awful. At some point the coaches have to make a change in a game like this. He obviously had nothing going tonight. Spurrier saw that Smelly had nothing going and made a change. It changed the game. THEY WON.

October 12, 200817 yr Cobb and locke had 25 touches in the first half and UK scores 17(only 10 from the offense)............Cobb and Locke have 8 touches in the 2nd half and Uk gets shutout. If Cobb's ankle is OK, I will be shocked if he does not take 12-15 snaps at QB next week.
October 12, 200817 yr Lyons has a torn MCL...not good. This is a pinhole in the football balloon. It really starts to look like a rebuilding year. Arkansas is a must. Offensively, this team is too challenged. They have too few playmakers especially at WR. They have had some injuries on the o-line. The defense is fine...they didn't fare too well on third down in second half but they were out there far too long. They bailed the botched onsides kick to start the second half, which if they execute it it is an easy recovery. You can now start to see where the loss of Pulley comes in. Hartline simply cant make things happen throwing the ball. add in WR's who are young young and young. Today was an energy sapper...defense gets you four turnovers, and you only get 17 points. The D was really only responsible for 10 points... Have they done an MRI already to confirm that's all it is?

If its just a torn MCL then we are very fortunate because that means he'll be out up to 6 weeks (Vince Young, with the same injury, was projected from 4-6 weeks) so he could be available by the last game or two possibly and most definitely a bowl game IF we get to one. Be happy it wasn't an ACL or else we would lose him for the rest of the year. Also we don't know the damage to Dickey yet as his MRI isn't scheduled until Monday. Everybody should just be patient and see what happens. Don't go jumping the gun until you know the full situation.

October 12, 200817 yr You can't put all the blame on the Qb. The line has to block for the running backs to pick up yardage and the receivers also have to catch passes. The receivers dropped their fair share of passes today. :thumb::thumb: 100% correct.
