Anyone who thinks it is only a QB problem needs to watch the game more closely.

I expected UK to lose this game..

 

Hartline needs to be replaced, I'm sorry. 23/43, 152 yards, and 2 INT just isn't getting it done. The Mid. Tenn game he played well, but since he hasn't.

 

UK needs to establish a running game. Just 62 rushing yards isn't going to get the job done.

 

UK was 1-16 on 3rd down, while SC was 8-17.

 

I don't see the Cats winning 9 games, or 8. I still think they will lose to Ark, or Miss. St, UGA, UF, and Vandy..

Special teams needs to take most of the blame. The blocked field goal returned was 10 point swing and we lost bt 7. The long kick off return after our first score took away whatever momentum we had. The offense is a team effort which wasn't very good, between drops when he does get the ball there, and some of the misses when their open it's very frustrating. Hope we can regroup for Arkansas.

Both offenses were terrible in the first half. One coach made the appropriate changes, one didn't. Brooks is so stubborn I'm afraid he may start Hartline next year.

I don't think it is just a Hartline problem, it is the WRs not running good routes, and the O-line being inconsistent with their blocking.

 

He had adequate time to throw agaisnt SC.

I know our offense is terrible with Hartline at QB.

 

I don't know how our offense would be with Cobb at QB but we COULDN'T be worse.

Hartline hasn't been real good but his recievers get ZERO seperation! I thought KY had something cooking when they got in the I toward the end of the half and the 2nd half. Special teams was just as bad as UK's offense today. If offense + special teams would stop giving up scores, UK's defense will win or keep them in games!

Not running good routes comes from inexperience...there were at least 5 true freshman getting serious PT at WR. You can't have that and expect to win. However, floating EVERY ball you throw is something that should have been fixed at this point in the season. I've defended Hartline for most of the season but here's the bottom line: Cobb moves the offense better. Floating balls in the SEC gets you picked every game.

We would have been 100 times better off implementing a spread option or something else before the season started. We don't have the personnel to run the offense we're trying to run. You can't run in a pro style offense if you can't pass and you can't pass if you don't have anything at WR or QB.

Gotta get a good lean on the defender to get the separation, right stick1!?
