HCHS should have a lot of good freshmen. The Harlan Patriots won the Championship last year and those moving up to high school this year should make for a great freshman and jv team.

Freshman DT Swartz (61) for Simon Kenton is one big kid. He lifted alot in the off season. Has anyone see the legs on that kid. I don't know that the SK freshman of this year will be able to do what the team did last year, but if someone gets hit by Swartz they will know it. There are a few others that standout, but again...I don't see what I was seeing last year as far as talent

 

SK had some very good frosh last year in the backfield. Will any of them get an opportunity to play significant varsity minutes this year. I think the names I remember were Baldwin, Lawrence & Winkler? I think the Crane kid who was their top back transferred to Beechwood? How is he doing at Beechwood? I don't recall seeing his name on any of the threads about Beechwood?

Nortern Kentucky will have to defend a very talented Josh Freidel for the next three years. Should be an impact player for Ryle in 08'.

The word I get from some of the B-Wood faithful is that he will see alot of time with the varisty on both sides of the ball. RB and LB. Don't know for sure, just what I heard from some of the parents.

I'll throw out a few that won't get noticed because Moore High School isn't really known as a football powerhouse:

 

Jalen Miller, a sophomore who is vying for the QB position will also be playing wingback and on defense will be the middle linebacker. Miller will never come off the field. He has great vision as a QB, speed to make people miss and strenght to run people over if need be.

 

DaQuan Boyd, freshman wingback who is a playmaker in space, great speed and makes people miss will also be playing cornerback on D, for being 5'9 the kids hands are huge.

 

McKale McKay aka "Tex", freshman is about 6'3 180 will be playing QB, WR, n FS, the kid will hit you in the mouth and loves to block as a receiver. Big, strong kid that can go up and get the ball over anyone.

 

These 3 kids should put some life back into Moore football and make expectations higher if you ever get a chance to come out to Moore check these 3 out there going to be special.

Good for him! Was pretty impressive as a running back at the freshmen level.

At Montgomery County

Seth Dotson (SO)-started 4 games at QB leading the indians to a playoff win over Woodford County. He has to step his game and leadership skills up, the offense was hit pretty had by graduation.

 

Chris Kendrick (FR)- 6'3 190lbs. defensive end. He runs in the low 4.8's, with some expierence, he could turn into a great player.

Both have promising high school careers ahead of them.

That is rare...a little known rare fact from Trinity, Coach Lampley our hall of fame football coach, also has a golf state title to his name...

 

 

That said, I don't have all the names, but Trinity's freshman class is stellar, the best in probably 6-7 years.

I have also heard that the Trinity coaching staff is very excited about this group of freshmen. I understand that the freshmen are big where they need to be, deep and overall very, very fast. Only time will tell if they can play as well as they look.

The Holy Cross J.V. could be one of the strongest teams with an outstanding WR Josh Jasper this year if they found a QB with a strong arm that can lead Josh to many touchdowns this year. They also need a RB Justin Shultz is going to get owned this yr.
