IMO Madison Central is perennially overrated.

Not to make any excuses but Aaron Morris was injured in the game and didn't play in the second half.

Madison Central is already without Keyshawn Simpson, one of the top rated juniors in the state. Take away he and Morris and the Indians are very average at best.

Tatum Lewis fouled out in the 3rd Quarter. Robbie Stenzel foulded out at the beginning of the OT. Then Arron Dini fouled out. We were not in hte double bonus till late in the OT. Evan Bennett suffered a bloody nose in the 4th and did not return till the last minute of the OT.

 

What a game plan by our coaching staff.:thumb:

 

I do hate that we let a 19 point lead go. MC scored 15 stright points on the Cards to get back in the game. The Cards didn't give up.:thumb: Marc Miller the announcers said was great on the boards tonight. Robbie Stenzel only missed one FT all night.

MC was fouled with 2.7 seconds to go...score tied. They hit both shots...up by 2. Our Freshman Travis Pervis throws the ball in to Bennett. he throws to Marc Miller...he shots a 3...banks it in. What a game.

I never dreamed my boys would win this game....till I talked to some of the players this morning. Robert Hatton told me...we have a new zone we are playing tonight, and we are going to win. I believed him.

Is Simpson hurt? If so when will he be back? Is the Morris injury serious?

^Simpson broke his foot in the summer, missed several football games....but did return to play in a few late season games.....I hear he is out until after spring practice, which means the entire basketball season.

 

As for Morris, I have no clue.

What a finish! GRC let a big lead slip away, but came back to win a thriller. Great shot by Miller to end the game. MC students were out of control after the game. Great win for the Cards!
