I agree with those who say Bowling Green is just too far for some, and it it's near the center of the state. If Louisville can't hold the football then those years it should be in Lexington if at all possible. Basketball needs to stay at Rupp! PERIOD!

 

Don't mess up a good thing and move basketball, or even to rotate it, just because Louisville is have a scheduling conflict in football. I am all for having basketball in Rupp, and only Rupp, as I am for football being in Louisville and only Louisville, IF they don't have any conflicts.

I think the list has only two more teams: Western and Murray.

Thomas More College's Bank Of Kentucky Field is near completion. 2,500 seats and synthetic turf.

I wonder if they would use the "KISS CAM" up on the jumbotron? Certainly would be a way to increase male attendance!

By MapQuest it is a 5.5 hour trip and 288 miles.

 

In a bus I have made the trip and it is close to 7 hours add in stopping to eat.......

Not enough to handle the capacity of these two met in the title game. In fact they wouldn't be enough to handle the capacity for Trinity-Male in the title game.

 

2002 when the Rocks played Male it was in front of about 20,000 people. I believe 2003 against X in the title game was similar.

For several reasons, the state championships need to be in Louisville whenever possible. In the years that isn't feasible, Bowling Green is a suitable alternative.

Louisville is as close to middle of the state as your going to get .

 

Bell Co. Russell, Belfry etc are looking at a 8 hour trip......no way
