What exactly are the problems, with Moreheads facilities, parking, stands, surface?....

 

Everything except surface, as it is AstroPlay, almost the same as FieldTurf or SprintTurf and the stands are not bad, think a larger version of a high school stadium with stands on both sides

 

No parking at all, and while the stands are not bad the facilities under them, unless updated the past 3 years, are ancient, it needs painted and flat out cleaned, and updated bad as well as pretty small.

Why move it from Louisville?

 

The Ville could play a Fri might game and get on tv while the football games could be played Sat. and Sun.

EKU would be a great centralized location

To me it should stay in Louisville, or rotate. Put Basketball In Louisville one year and football in Lexington and the next basketball in Lexington and football in Louisville. With the new basketball arena coming to Louisville that would be completely possible.

I have always loved this idea. I think it is the perfect situation for both cities.

Tell the Big East that high school football was here first.

I do not like the idea of B-Green at all. I travel to B-Green on a monthly basis and I have trouble getting a hotel room during the middle of the week! WKU already gets the girls tournament - don't think the football championships is a good fit. Heck, I'd rather see the playoffs at Paul Brown Stadium vs. WKU or EKU. If Louisville does not work - Kentucky would be the next best situation. Still like PBS the best. It's centrally located in N Kentucky and Louisville. Isn't that where most of the playoff teams come from?:D:D

Richmond is 20 minutes south of Lexington, but still a reasonable drive for most fans statewide....I really doubt someone willing to travel to Lexington would say Richmond is just too far. However, I can't see EKU letting the KHSAA use the facilities, even though the Colonels season would be over by then anyways and the size of the place would be perfect.

Isn't EKU natural grass? If so, no way they let the high school teams play 6 games there in 2 days. The whole field would have to be re-soded.
