That's cool. I thought that he had been injured at ND, but nobody I spoke with knew for sure. Thank you for the clarification. 1963-67 must have been monumental on the hill w/ all the athletes up there. Cowens graduated in '65.

From Corbin it depends who you talk to but my number one would be Greg Taylor and number two would be Roger Bird. Everyone else would be behind these two.

I'd submit Troy Lay as a candidate from the former Mercer County. He too knew he would be carrying it 20 + times a game and only be 5'6" and about 130 lbs but he was one of the leading scorers in the area his last two years.

They had the #1 basketball team in the state in '65 (before being upset in the 1st round of the state tourney), they came in second in the GCL in '65 as well, I believe. Ziegler was followed by Muench who also played on a full ride in college. There were a lot of good athletes.
