Mike Sutkamp 81' most carries in the state of KY. Several Thousand yrds. True Workhorse.

 

Brad Hissong 92' Fastest running back I ever watched and played with at Bellevue. Several thousand yrds, several TD's of 40 yrds or longer and led Tigers to STate Runner up in 91'. Had Sprinter speed.

 

Your correct about the Sutkamp boy. They were awesome work horses, and that included Charlie, the middle brother that played tackle on those great Bellevue teams, but I'm positive you've got their graduation years incorrect.

What ever happened to him? Didn't he play for Notre Dame?

 

Yes, he did go to Notre Dame and was very successful. Started on and off for 3 years, as they did not allow freshman to play then. He was drafted by the NY FOOTBALL GIANTS in 1970 and played one year until a career ending knee injury cut his pro career short. He then went to UK law school and became an internationally known Zoning and Planning attorney and teaches classes @ Univ. of Colorado law school. Very successful indeed. A credit to the NCC community in my eyes.

No! He started last year as a soph.

Trimble County - current back, David Bird. Currently has 1050 rushing yards for the year and over 4000 for career. He is the all time leading scorer, also.

I would have to say that Josh Gross was the best Running back to ever play at Russell. Kasey Clark right behind Gross.
