Mayfield.......the best I ever saw play........Mikey Bright.....he didn't run around people, he ran through them......he was in the state record books for touchdowns in a season, but Im not sure if he is in it anymore.......

 

 

What about Marcus Moss or the Parrott kid who played in the late 70's? We need to get Toothpick on this one.

Okay, lets vote on one. Justin Frisk!!!!!!!! Played only 45 of 60 quarters his senior year. With the numbers per touches he is hands down the best to put it on. How many backs can say they have a game that they only had 7 touches with 6 TD's. How many of you sitting there don't and won't admit that when he touched the ball there was a very good chance he was going to score. Not many runningbacks have that impact on a game.

Unless I miss my count Highlands has 13 best runningbacks so far, ever. Dale must be posting on here.

Justin Frisk was the best high school running back I have seen. My high school football memory goes back to about 1984.

Prestonsburg- I'm only familiar with the early 90's and on but some names that come to mind are Seth Hyden, John Ortega, Matt Slone.

From CCH, and my memory only goes back to around 1993-1994, so I'd have to say

 

Top 5 in no particular order:

 

Jeremy Madden('98)-tough, hard nosed kid

Cole Chadwick('01)-career yards record holder, stepped up big sophomore year after Madden graduated.

Galen Healy('95)-God rest his soul, but he was a tough little back too

Mitchell Jobe(?)-just remember his name pretty well

Rick Hornsby('70?)-was too young too remember, but his name was/is all plastered over the record books, and heard he was a beast. Great guy and great teacher too.

Marcus Moss was probably the best to go through Mayfield, he has several rushing records I believe.
