Is it ridiculous to say that Paducah Tilghman matches up better with Boyle than Corbin?

It's not far fetched since I'm guessing you've come to that conclusion based on the fact that PT has the 17th ranked Safety in the Nation who has offers from 7 of the current top 10 teams in the CFP Rankings?

  • I wish these two teams could only meet in the finals but here we are. Corbin is amazing but I am going with Boyle County.

Got my tickets. I’ll be there.  First HS football game in years. Lol.

  • Actually, the all-time series between Boyle County and Corbin is tied at 4 games to 4.   The teams first met in 1977 in the regional championship game at Boyle with Corbin winning 37-15.  They again m

The same can be said about Franklin County, but we'll talk about that another day.

Boyle - Corbin winner should get Franklin County on Black Friday.  I don't see Cov Cath getting beat by Johnson Central.

LOL, talk about it all you want! I am not so sensitive.

I think what will help Boyle in this game the most is that they're more dangerous in the air than on the ground, as good as the twins are they're not gonna be deep in the secondary, so they can kind of avoid them. If Boyles Oline can slow them down just a bit I think they'll win. With the focus being on Quisinberry and Brown, I think Geo could be key in this game he's averaging 32 yards per catch which is by far the most on their team and he might be the fastest guy on the team. I'm expecting him to only get single coverage. It's not often u play a team who's WR3 runs sub 10.9 in the 100.

In order to slow the twins down, you often need to double team one or both of them. That frees up other defenders to rush or drop back in coverage.

Guys, Douglas is just not a very good team this year.. so not sure that game is a good comparison.

Maybe relative to their teams from previous years they are down a bit, but this is still a very good team that is capable of winning 6A. I can't speak for their out of state games, but I would say that Boyle and Corbin would both consider that game to be their best victories of the season.

I know that there will parking up at the Boyle County Middle School and a gate to checking thru.  There is quite a bit of parking up there, so if anybody would like to then that would be a place.

He is also electric on offense!

I think Smith Bros will make a huge impact. Will it be enough, can’t wait to see. Boyle is at home so Red Hounds have to get a turnover or two and sustain drives.

I am going to speculate that the two linemen the twins are going against at BC are going to be the best they have faced. Colt Kelly can hold his own with anyone and has the size, speed and technique to do so. Another big factor is BC will not be intimidated by them like many would be, so should be a good matchup.

I'm I the only one that thinks this game won't be very close? I think Boyle wins by 3+ Touchdowns, I might be wrong but that's the way I feel.

I think that's in the realm of possibilities, but I think it's more likely to be close. I could see Corbin winning, but not by more than 1 possession like I think Boyle is capable of.

I'm in line with both of you. I think Boyle is capable of winning the game by multiple scores, whereas I believe a Corbin win would likely be within seven points. In all likelihood I think it will be nip-and-tuck for three quarters before Boyle hits a couple big plays in the fourth quarter to put it out of reach.

That's a good point, I remember the Kelly Kid starting at center last year, I looked him up and he was a freshman against us and BC running behind him in the championship game. I have heard he starts both ways and has been out, so that could be a factor if he doesn't play or plays only one way. I went down to the FD game, and he was pancaking their dlineman and making numerous plays on Defense... That's the fun part of a game like this, the matchups within the game...of course we all probably remember his brother, not sure where he went but it was a big school if I remember correctly.

Middle Tennessee State.

Wow!!  104-30.  Not sure I’ve seen this many votes before.

Hot take warning: These are the two best teams (regardless of class) in the state playing. Sorry Louisville people.
