Boyle County 34 Franklin County 0 (4A State Championship)
Think about this for Boyle’s team, I don’t recall many KY teams over the years beating or playing these type teams in a single season it is very impressive to me… look at these wins, battle tested 1. LCA 2. Ballard 3. St Xavier 4. Frederick Douglas 5. Highlands 6. Covington Catholic 7. Corbin

Owensboro 35 Pulaski County 7 (5A State Championship)
I’m going Pulaski in an upset. Burns come up under Chuck Smith serving on his staff and continues to use some of Smith’s defensive principles I’m sure he will have a great defensive game plan. Pulaski 28-21

Trinity 28 South Warren 14 (6A State Championship)
Trinity big- 42-14

Boyle County 34 Franklin County 0 (4A State Championship)
I wouldn’t expect this to be that close I’m going Boyle 42-21

Boyle County 34 Corbin 33
Terrible. It wasn’t about whether Boyle recovered or not. In advertant whistle blew the play dead which kills the play immediately. Ref never needs to call another game.

Boyle County 49 Covington Catholic 14
Same dang play again 73 pulls touchdown..

Boyle County 49 Covington Catholic 14
73 their lineman and Hisel is the key they pull and run behind that kid every play. 73 extremely talented lineman. No adjustments from CC. Disappointing performance

Boyle County 49 Covington Catholic 14
Cov Catholic will have to score with Boyle. Boyle’s oline is dominating CC.

Franklin County 42 North Oldham 25
Franklin gets this one but probably end of the line for them.

Corbin 35 Highlands 21
I think this game believe it or not, will be a toss-up; I favor the home team. Corbin can match up with Highland's size a bit, still going Bird 28-21 in a tight one.

Boyle County 49 Covington Catholic 14
I think one thing to remember also when I went to the Highlands game, Boyle was playing with a young QB his first start and they had multiple players out, with several turnovers. I think Boyle's first game with a complete roster this year was St. X and they have continued to improve. Highlands coaching in their defense did the players no favors in this game. That front four with Kelly and Yocum and two extremely talented fast ends Yancy and Crowe will make it hard on Cov. Catholics QB and running game...again I think Boyle pulls away in this one. I think Highlands match's up best with Boyle in 4A overall.

Atherton 49 Bowling Green 21
I’m going Atherton 14-13. Tough place to play and it looks like the field will be a mess…

Boyle County 49 Covington Catholic 14
Boyle’s defense is considerably better than last year. I’ve watched them a couple times in person. A lot of new faces with speed. This is the same defense that completely shut down St.X. Who could not establish any type of run game. I’m neutral but don’t see this being that close, Boyle will pull away 42-14 BC.

Boyle County 20 Frederick Douglass 13
I've watched both teams in person, I believe Boyle will win this by 3 scores or so. Boyle has too much talent in the trenches. Boyle's defense looks better than last year... I'm thinking close for 3 quarters with Boyle pulling away in the 4th.

Highlands 42 Scott County 28
Highlands by at least 21...

Lincoln County at Boyle County Predictions/Updates
Lincoln is a physical team; they will put up a fight and slow play with the clock. I think this will be closer than people expect. I'm going 35-7.

Lexington Christian Academy 49 Danville 18
A good measuring stick to see where Danville really is at in the maturation process, much improved-very young- probably still a couple years away from being competitive in these type games, running clock in the 3rd or earlier. Like I always say a bad game with penalties and turnovers- anything can happen...

Boyle County 14 Saint Xavier 3
St. X had 111 yards of total offensez- and negative 15 yards rushing….that's a problem.
-
Boyle County 14 Saint Xavier 3
I went to this game, in person Boyle Dominated St X upfront on both sides. I’ve said before Boyle follows 73 Kelly on about every run he smashed X’s Dline. This game really never was in doubt, I didn’t realize Boyle was that fast on defense, someone was telling me this is the first time Boyle has had everyone back was this game…

Boyle County vs. Saint Xavier Predictions/Updates
Boyle has dominated the first half everywhere but the scoreboard. 7-0 Boyle probably should be 21-0. Glad I come down. Great game.
-
Boyle County vs. Saint Xavier Predictions/Updates
Should be a good one, I would say the same for Boyle, if their starting QB is back, it factors in. Boyle has looked one dimensional the past couple weeks on tape leaning on the run heavily. Passing yards are not relative of pass attempts, a few long yards after catch can make it look as you were successful in the passing game. I'm going to drive down for this one--I'm Going-- St. X.35-21

Highlands at Boyle County Predictions/Updates
I come down to watch this, I heard of the Kelly Kid 73 on Boyle before —he is killing Highlands DLine and linebackers pancaking them. Still going with Highlands but I’ve noticed in the box wherever 73 is moved to that’s where Boyle is running. Plays d also. Him and Lorenzan stands out. Highlands is huge on both sides. Great game!

Highlands at Boyle County Predictions/Updates
I've heard Boyle has more starters out this week than they did last including the QB, this one could get ugly. Highlands 35-14.
-
Boyle County at Atherton Predictions/Updates Scrimmage 8/15/25
I don't put much weight in this "scrimmage" at all for either team. Every stop or turnover- ball was reset at the 25. No live kickoffs or punts and the qb couldn't run or get hit. Very controlled from what I hear...time will tell- both teams have exceptional athletes...

2025 Boyle County Rebels
Boyle also added the Goodman kid one of the top ranked dlineman in the 2026 class- I believe. Boyle will be really good again with the QB coming back and now with huge targets of 6'4 Drakeford and 6'7 Driver. Kelly will be their best lineman on either side of the ball who also is getting D1 looks. Kelly is probably one of the few kids that have started at the varsity level every game since entering High School at Boyle, lots of experience there in big games' I think Boyle's biggest thing is the running back position and who earns the spot.
