Deion = Disaster?

Featured Replies

Honestly feels like they are following a similar path that Deion followed at Jackson State. First year had a lot of hype but also a lot of chaos (remember the first game at JSU when his wallet was supposedly stolen?). Second year the team settled in, went 11-2 and made the Celebration Bowl. The next season he was undefeated. I'm not saying that will happen at Colorado but it seems like after the initial splash hire and jolt to the system, he's done a pretty good job at both places.

  • Skip gets on my nerves but this is a good one for this thread.

  • Skip is THIRSTY for relevance. His two most recent co-workers (SAS and Uncle Shay) are absolutely thriving, and Skip is an afterthought.  Assuming you really believe in Deion's ability to recruit

They have a solid shot of making the Big 12 title game and a playoff nod. The schedule opened up, so they are avoiding two of the top three Big 12 teams (KSU being the other, which they lost). They need KSU to slip up.

Things are looking a lot better than earlier in the season and definitely compared to last year. I want to see Deion do good as a coach.

Yep, it's awesome.

In fairness, with potentially the top two draft picks in the upcoming draft, there should be no reason for them not to excel.

If Colorado stays in the Big 12 race and/or wins it, then I think Travis Hunter would almost be a lock for the Heisman.  His two-way play would be impossible to ignore versus other candidates.

No chance they give it to him, even though they should.

I'm glad they have righted the ship, so to speak. It certainly did not start well for them.

They are fun to watch. Shedeur is the best quarterback in the country IMO. Travis Hunter is certainly the best athlete.

Normally I'd agree but this year's Heisman race does not have a clear standout from the SEC.  Oregon's QB is possibly in the running for the Big 10 but in a divided race like this that might help Hunter stand out more.  This year's Heisman is one of the closest Heisman races I've ever seen.

It will likely be Dillon Gabriel unless the bottom falls out, and next in line would be the RB from Boise State.

I'd love for Travis to win it, I just don't see it happening.

I think Hunter will win it.

Momentum seems to be with him.

The media has a lot of votes.....and they want it to happen. Sanders will probably get COY over Cignetti or Monken(Army) since he's a media favorite.

Yes, the media does like him for obvious reasons, he also has deserved to be in the discussion because of the great job he has done with his team.
