Deion = Disaster?

With Colorado's season over, except for a bowl game that Shedur and Travis aren't going to play in, did Deion just coach his last game as the Buffs Coach?

  • Skip gets on my nerves but this is a good one for this thread.

  • Skip is THIRSTY for relevance. His two most recent co-workers (SAS and Uncle Shay) are absolutely thriving, and Skip is an afterthought.  Assuming you really believe in Deion's ability to recruit

Very possible but the decision is totally up to him, he’s in the driver’s seat.

Hopefully

Deion has been really good for college football and I truly respect that his son and the best player in college football are both participating in this bowl game, great job Prime!!!

Yep, I seem to be completely wrong.

BYU not buying into the Colorado hype...just a beat down halfway through the third.

This game not withstanding, I think Colorado had a really good second season under Coach Sanders.

I never understood the Big 12 preseason projection. They have two of the top picks in the upcoming draft, to finish 11th would have been a colossal failure (for reference, ASU was picked last and BYU was 13th which speaks to the absurdity of these polls). How the schedule broke, the Buffaloes avoided the top three teams in the weakest P5 conference until last night, they were 4th, and the 5th (Baylor) they beat by a miracle. In retrospect, they probably did what they should have done. Where I give  Deion credit is that the season could have spiraled early on after the Nebraska game, but they righted the ship.

One thing Sanders did accomplish..... several schools are hiring former NFL black "instant coaches". You never hear many folks talk about the job Eddie George has done at TSU. To be honest, the QB for BYU looked better than Sanders to me, and it was quite obvious the Buffs had no answer for BYU. Anybody notice other than me that when the pounding started the Colorado coach no longer needed his sunglasses?

It’s an awesome development, especially with the hires at the HBCU’s.

RE: Shedeur. This QB class is weak by most accounts. That said, he may end up being the first or second QB off the board by default which would make him a top 5 pick, most likely.
