Deion = Disaster?

I'm not hating, just reporting. Colorado turned the keys over to Prime and this is part of the package. Fine by me.

The only thing I'm "hating" on with Deion is coaching. There seems to be a lack of detail and fundamental discipline the Buffs are displaying on the field, and a chaotic running of the program off the field. You will not overcome that in the college game with blue-chippers, as the competition is too good.

Sure have me fooled by several previous posts, didn’t reflect that at all, just simply bashing Deion for promoting his son.

  • Skip gets on my nerves but this is a good one for this thread.

  • Skip is THIRSTY for relevance. His two most recent co-workers (SAS and Uncle Shay) are absolutely thriving, and Skip is an afterthought.  Assuming you really believe in Deion's ability to recruit

So let’s all bust on Deion for promoting his son!! Trade places with Deion and wouldn’t you promote your own son? Don’t think hating on this guy is the right direction to go for promotion of his own son, can’t understand why so many are hating on him, just one guys opinion.

Promote his kids at the expense of the other 80 some players not named Sanders or Hunter?

He's free to promote his son all he wants, but needs to also get criticism for the way the TEAM responds on and off the field beyond what his kids and Travis Hunter do.

If that’s the case then should all teams not having success early in the season be badgered because they aren’t winning? And every team has a couple players much better than the rest! So let’s go right down the line and criticize about 150 teams!!

I think most coaches that lose are routinely criticized. You seem to think that Sanders should not be criticized for his teams performance.

And by the way, the team hasn't been very good under his watch.

Agreed.

Deion's teams might be better if he'd just start Reed Sheppard.

That doesn’t have one thing to do with this thread.

Completely inaccurate.

True, but it's a popular one.

How can you justify making the entire team wear Shedeur's initials and number on their helmets? How's that good for team morale?

I think what some are missing is that we are ROOTING for Deion to knock it out of the park. He is a breath of fresh air to the NCAA establishment culture and has a chance to do something unprecedented. But the flash and personality can only get you to the starting line. The coaching infrastructure and implementation, by most neutral observers, seem to be spiraling. This is more important in football than in any other sport. I'm still holding out hope, but barely.

It's a joke that highlights your inconsistent coaching critiques.

Might even win a playoff game.
