If the reading between the lines and posts of others above are driven off of @Jason Bucklen post, there are a number of coaches who fit what he said. I wouldn't be jumping to just Eviston. I doubt Beechwood is even done collecting applications yet. There are going to be a lot of applications to go through.

Isn’t the rule the job most be posted for 30 days on KHSAA before interviews begin? Now, I believe most schools start with their top guys asap, but I heard this a year or so ago and wasn’t sure if it was fact or fiction. 

Maybe this question was already asked but, did Coach Rash know before the season ended that last year would be his last? I'm curious because seemingly he would've been in the weight room with the players this winter already.

Fiction.  There are absolutely zero rules from KHSAA about job postings or interviews or any other aspects of hiring coaches.  Those rules are set by Board policies for each individual school district and typically in most school districts, extra-curricular positions aren't required to comply with the same rules as full-time jobs.  Meaning, they can do what they want when they want.  Now I don't profess to know the Beechwood District policies on hiring, but there certainly are no KHSAA restrictions.  I suspect this will all be done well before Spring Break though.

Was years ago but not sure now. Really hurts the school some one leaves too.

Maybe that's when he decided. Sometimes you realize your heart just isn't in it, or you are tired when you begin.
