Realistically, how long will this search take? I assume OC and DC will stay in place? If not, this is late in the game to be hiring a coach if many changes are being made. 

Playing Devil's Advocate here, but is is actually realistic that the OC or DC will stay in place? I know both men are highly respected in the Beechwood program and community, however, let's say, for argument's sake, that Eviston is hired as the new HC. Is Eddie going to let Greg call the offense (I am acting under the impression that he called the offense under Coach Rash)? Is Greg going to be ok losing that responsibility? Same scenario if a defensive minded HC is hired. Again, I don't know, but jus throwing the idea out there.

The DC certainly won’t be staying in place since it was Rash himself..

Rash was DC. An ideal hire would be a Defensive head coach to fill that, and keep Hergott at OC. Considering he’s been calling it for years.

Makes perfect sense to me. I was just getting to the point that it might not be as easy/simple as hiring a head coach and keeping everyone else in place and happy.

If that’s the case, they need to get Bert Bathiany on the phone immediately. Was DC and LB coach at the next level.

Agree with all of that. But hard to see Hergott no longer being the play caller for the offense. No knock towards EE, but hasn’t their offensive play calling been not up to CCH standard as of late? If you had to choose one to call the offense, who do you take?

I would say the passing game design is very good to elite at the HS level. The run game design is below average and the QB run game design is poor and is really only QB iso. 

The play calling has leaned heavily on the QB run game the last two years and has been frustrating for various reasons (ex. it not being what the 2 QBs we had last year do well).

Maybe there are reasons for that, like EE not trusting a 2nd RB last year, but the run game needs to get re-worked and become more dynamic.

It would all depend on what offense they plan on running, I’m certain if they worked as a collaboration they could come up with the some pretty cool things. And according to Park Hills Mafia, not much lives up to the CCH standard. 

I’d have to assume Eviston is going to continue to run the Georgetown offense wherever he goes, as he was an all time great QB and O Coordinator there. With that, “his” system is also well known by Ashley Moser (RB coach) and Tyler Gross (OL Coach), as they also played under Cronin, I believe. So with that, no chance they change their system. But, I’m sure Hergott could add some great value, but he wouldn’t be calling the plays, but suggesting certain plays and bouncing ideas off of each other like I’m sure Eddie’s offensive staff does already.

Applied? Not sure. Spoken with the Beechwood powers a couple of times? Yes.
