Typical schedule has been strength/lifting Monday and Tuesday before school and then speed and agility on Thursday after school.

Highlands does 3 days a week strength and speed training during the season. It varies what they do week to week but 2 days are dedicated to lifting/strength and the third day is speed and agility training. It is key to maintaining weight/strength and helps with limiting certain injuries.

I am sure it is a big rival for the kids because of how close they are but Beechwood has won 3 times since 2003. Not much of a rivalry on the field.

This was a fun game to watch. Ryle has a real nice squad. Have to think #2 for Ryle has a legit shot at the Varsity QB spot next season. Birds need to limit the turnovers but they are solid overall. Can't wait for the rematch.

It is tough to predict at this point not seeing the gap between schools but I agree that PT will likely win out and finish very high. Highlands can make up some ground but has 3 very difficult games remaining with Cov Cath, Elder (OH) and Scott County. The Birds have some nice RPI boosters on their remaining schedule including Cov Cath (4A #8), Scott County (5A #5) and even Mason County (4A #12). Pair that with the teams they have already played like Boyle, Frederick Douglass and even Cooper (5A #3) and Highlands has a shot to be at the top as well. Boyle also has enough left on their schedule to get to #1. If their only blemish remains Highlands still having St. X and Frederick Douglass on their schedule, it seems like they could get there. Cov Cath still has Beechwood and Highlands which will move the needle if they win. Not sure if their overall schedule would get them to the top.

Who is playing QB for the Camels this week? Is Guy returning or will it be the Phelps/Honaker combo?

Hopefully when the "official RPI Rankings" come out they will have the RPI points that each school has like in previous years. Would be nice to see how close each school is with is each other.

Totally agree. Feel like they need to get better in the trenches. They were dominated on Friday. Overall, they are still the team to beat for sure.

Saw that as well and it happened multiple times in the Lex Cath game. I was glad the Birds came out injury free last night.

No enforcement of holding the entire night. With 7 officials for the first time I expected better.
