WV has a strong group of current JRs who have played with each other since Youth that will make up the core of the team. Depending on how re-alignment and the scheduling shakes out this could be a surprise team and one of Walton's better teams in years

I think need to find more players this year, in lower 30's at the end of the season. Traditionally, they are upper 40's and 50's.

The schedule looks plenty tough to me.

Five of the teams they have no choice but to play. Now of course that includes Beechwood.

Those are all pretty stiff competition for them. Brossart and Boone won’t be cakewalks. That’s a pretty solid schedule and it’s the type of you get banged up a little gets even harder. Carroll has been closing the gap some too and the last few years have been tough games.

I agree and overall I think it is a very tough schedule for WV.

With the few bodies they have had it will be a very tough schedule. 

There were 45 players on the 2022 roster with 9 of those players freshmen.

That is to start year. Ended with upper 20's to lower 30's. 

Who are returning players to look for?

Looks like a very good schedule for Walton. The Bearcats were very thin by years end, and the lack of size and overall team speed was noticeable.  Sounds like numbers will bounce back with a large incoming freshman class. Walton has built a very reputable program, it will be interesting to see if they can "take the next step."

Here is the youth schedule for Walton, sometimes it is good to see more about a program.

Herd they are Scrimmaging Campbell and Conner too- will get them ready for season opener!
